I had never watched Seinfeld until 2009. I worked at a hellhole of a place (was basically stuck there as the job market was atrocious from the financial crisis). However, every day at lunch, one guy would place an episode of Seinfeld and I immediately took to it. It was the only thing I had to look forward to at that place every day for a ~20 min escape.

It’s an acquired taste. I immediately hit it off with someone if they like the show, it’s a specific sense of humour that I gravitate towards. I’ve been watching it since it aired, I was 9. Still watch it. Must have seen every episode 50 times. Still laugh.

They should release Stargate. StudioCanal owns the rights for Europe and Lionsgate for the US. It's a title that has a great resale value.
How many editions there are in the US? Tow or three?
I have one with 7.1 DTS-HD MA audio that sounds great and picture is quite good also. What surprised me about this Lionsgate release is that is region free.

To be more precise, StudioCanal owns the rights worldwide and licenses them to Lionsgate for the US territory (as well as other distributors elsewhere).

UNISOL was one of the earliest StudioCanal (aka the French channel Canal Plus) investments in co-production (along with "BASIC INSTINCT") and managed to recoup all the rights after Carolco went under.

The 2nd commentary is a carry-over from SC's old German BD. Previously exclusive to that disc so it's definitely a nice addition. Will be interesting to see what the new BD looks like, the old SC one was an unfiltered, high-bitrate AVC encode from a rather rough source.

Like what? The US disc is going to be authored by SC anyway. It'll have an excellent new transfer marred with mediocre encoding no matter which side of the water you get it from. But for £14 I'm always happy to take a punt on it
