Where are all those naysayers that were saying Disney did not make boxsets in the U.S. anymore?

I knew they'd put something like this out.

Now, I'm not sure I want to fork over $500+ for all 23 movies when I already have 3/4 of them in some form or another.

The only ones I'm missing at this point are Guardians Volume 2, Ragnarok, Civil War, Black Panther, Spider-Man far from home and Infinity War and End Game.

Basically the last part of Phase 3.

The set looks awfully nice. All in 4K. Decisions.... No mention of Digital codes. It would score points if I can upgrade some of the older movies to 4K on iTunes that never upgraded. Things like Iron Man 2 and Captain America.

I'll need to think about this.

Kind of glad I didn’t wait for this. If they really are cardboard sleeves, that would be awful. Even still, it looks like it’s 4K only, no indication of digital codes either. I like having the regular Blu-ray because not every player and TV in our house is 4K.

I don't even have IM2 in digital at all. Really, it's only because of the recent 4K re-release that I got most of Phase One in digital.

But yep, for the price, would have liked to have 4K digital codes. The 4K+BD+Digital in regular packaging already went down to $20 each with the recent Target B2G1 promo.

It includes Blu-ray, I believe:

The Infinity Saga Collector's Edition [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [Only @ Best Buy]

But yeah, doesn't seem to have digital.

Surprised with the negativity this announcement is getting. It was always going to be around this price considering alot of these movies are virtually brand new on 4k and go for £20/£25 each alone.

The general opinion I'm seeing everywhere is "Pass - I'm not paying 550 dollars when I own most of the movies already/I own most of the movies in 4k already" - if that's the case then regardless of price you likely wouldn't buy it anyway

My biggest problem with it is that it looks like the movies are in some kind of cardboard sleeve or possibly digibook. Maybe I’m wrong, but it really looks like cardboard. For $550, I would expect plastic cases in a nice box, not cardboard sleeves.

Overall it is an easy pass even though I would like to get the bonus features. While the picture that is made when they are all lined up looks neat, I don't care for what appear to be small cardboard sleeves/cases. And I already have the movies (in most cases at least a couple of times over).

In the UK, they have been releasing "Phase" sets over time. They already released Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3-part 1 previously. Each had their own bonus discs (for Phase 1 and 2, I believe it is the same discs as the fancier sets released in the US)

Now Phase 3-part 2 is up for preorder, and it included 2 bonus discs. I wonder if one of them will have the same features as in this Infinity Saga set. If so, for anyone who has the movies individually and just wants the bonus features, it is comparatively a much cheaper means of obtaining them.

There's actually a regular Blu-Ray version of this set (shown above) and a 4K/Blu-Ray combo set, which still includes the same regular Blu-Ray bonus discs, for anyone interested.

True
The packaging is a little disappointing. I would've preferred the mock up version that was going around with the gauntlet on the front, even if it had two Jumbo sized amaray cases in. Would've felt abit more substantial than this.

Do we think they'll add in the extra disc for Iron Man with its special features on?

In the US at least, the individual 4K releases all come with digital copies.

Last sale at Target, you could've gotten the complete Infinity Saga for ~$20 per movie including digital copy (which, if you don't use, you could probably sell here for ~$8-10ea). Black Friday is right around the corner and I expect we'd be able to get the solo releases for around the same price as the recent Target sale if not lower.

Unless this gets discounted, it's not quite a slam dunk for me as I'll need to spend extra to get digital 4K. I skipped buying ~$180 worth of steelbooks in anticipation of this box set. Might end up going the steelbook route after all.

We already have all of the movies on 4k (with slips), but I'd sooner buy those UK phase sets (including some art/posters) than this Infinity box. I don't have any issues with the price (it's a good price if you don't have a single marvel movie on 4k), but it's just too expensive with my already having all of the movies. Packaging looks nice though!

This should have like, 3 more disc of new bonus content. For the insane price-point they should absolutely be including the 3D disc as well.

The individual artwork for each film is also seriously lacking. Why not continue using the great deco-style covers from the phase sets like the UK is doing?

Speaking of the UK, they put out a gorgeous set last year that included 55 Disney animated classics. This Saga set cost twice as much and includes less than half the number of films.

I think I'll pass on this. I have most of these in 4K or Steelbook. The only movie I don't own is Far From Home (haven't been to Best Buy this week). For 23 films, I think more than one disc of "bonus material" is not too much to ask for

I don’t mind cardboard when it’s done right. The Target exclusive editions of the last 6 MCU flicks are by far the most attractive packaging for those titles.

Honestly, if Target were to reissue every MCU film in the style of their 4K digipacks I would hands down buy those over what’s being shown here.

They won’t. And I’ll probably still pick this set up if it doesn’t sell out instantly. But from a design perspective I’m totally underwhelmed.

I think the main issue here is the lack of tangible content.

The previous collectors sets for Phase 1 and 2 had a ton of stuff and actual props that made them worth the price. They still had the cardboard sleeves for the discs, but had more stuff in there to make up the price.

This, is just a nicely packaged set of 23 movies most of us already have at about the same price you would have paid for them individually, and with nothing extra to show for it other than a box.

I was expecting at least an Infinity Gauntlet prop, not actual sized of course.

and yes Digital codes would have added to the entice-ability of it.

The point of boxsets is to get the movies together at the same time, and something extra that you are not getting if you buy them individually.

As it is, there's nothing there worth the money, unless you are a big fan of Kevin Feige and have to have a letter signed by him.

I'm gonna stick with my customs - I spent a lot of time collecting the individual releases and creating the custom artwork...and ultimately I'm happier with the artwork I came up with. If this set had included 3D Blu-ray versions (some of which weren't released in the US) in addition to the 4K and Blu-ray discs I might have been a bit more interested, but I already have each film in 4K/BD/3D (except for the first few non-3D titles) so my collection is more comprehensive with the exception of the bonus disc, and at that particular price tag It's unfortunately an easy pass for me.

I can't believe there is only one bonus disk. To be fair, the James Bond box set only had one bonus disk. Harry Potter lots of bonus disks.

Really interested in this, as I haven’t bought the last few individual movies. But wouldn’t want to get this unless I can get the other three sets in 4K as well so all matches. Is there any plan to put those out in 4K?
