Okay, clearly you guys have your own set of rules on what counts and what doesn't, which is fair. Considering the wide variety of DC films we now have. For me, I include anything that's part of the Batman mythos. Like Joker, obviously. Both characters go hand and hand, they can't live without each other. So in that aspect, it counts.
Also Batman was born that moment in the ally. Doesn't need to have the suit. |

Rank ordering of the O.P.'s list, from best to worst, broadly in two categories:
Top Notch (though flawed): The Dark Knight Rises Batman v Superman The Dark Knight Batman Begins Batman (1989) -- original color grading, not the tealified version [Quite a few DC animated films would fit into this yawning gap here, ahead of the rest of the list] Mediocre to Abominable: Justice League Suicide Squad Batman Returns Batman Forever Batman & Robin Batman: The Movie (1966) I have not yet seen Joker, and I have never nor will ever see Catwoman (not despite but because she is my favorite character in the Batman world apart from Batman himself) |

Masterpieces
Batman Begins 10/10 The Dark Knight 10/10 Great The Dark Knight Rises 8/10 Batman (1989) 7/10 The LEGO Batman Movie 7/10 OK Batman (1966) 6/10 Batman Returns 5/10 Worthless Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 3/10 Justice League 2/10 Batman Forever 1/10 Batman and Robin 0/10 Hoping that I can see Batman: Mask of the Phantasm soon. Something tells me it’s probably the best one outside of the Nolan films. Last edited by ImBlu_DaBaDee; 02-18-2020 at 12:13 AM. |

Let me be clear here, what I meant by as a "Batman movie" I mean in the sense that it's a spin-off to the main Batman franchise. Pretty much everyone in Birds of Prey are Batman characters. So yes, it counts as a "Batman movie", but again as spin-offs. Since these characters have spin-off into their own adventures without Batman.

1. The Dark Knight Rises - I just love the conclusion of Nolan's trilogy. It had the best actors of any Batman movie yet - Bale, Cotillard, Hathaway, Hardy, Oldman, etc.
2. Batman: The Movie (1966) - This is sentimental I guess. It started my love of Batman as a kid. Is it campy? Yes, but in a good way. Lee Meriwether as Catwoman was one of my first "crushes" and the Batmobile was just so dang cool. Add in the theme song and the "POW/BANG/BASH" 3. Batman Returns - Keaton was a great Batman AND a great Bruce Wayne. I enjoyed Pfeifer as Catwoman. I could've done without DeVito - his Penguin is just gross. I always thought of The Penguin as a bit more dapper. 4. Batman (1989) - Keaton's first outing proved that he had the chops to play Bruce/Bats. Kim Basinger was fantastic. Jack Nicholson is a legend. 5. The Dark Knight - Unlike most people, I didn't enjoy Ledger - especially with his death that will forever be tied to the film. I do enjoy Bale as Batman & Bruce though. Maggie Gyllenhall is a massive upgrade from Katie Holmes. Aaron Eckhart stole the show in my mind. 6. Batman Begins - A bit boring at times, but it found it's footing and turned out to be a great origin story for Batman/Bale. 7. LEGO Batman Movie - Some really funny jokes, but for a kid's movie, I could've done without the gay undertones with Batman & Joker. Just not my thing. I think that they could've executed the movie without that kind of stuff. 8. Justice League - Not a fan of the movie, but did enjoy Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Also enjoyed Flash. Affleck wasn't horrible as Batman/Bruce. 9. Batman & Robin - A pretty horrible movie. Just weird. 10. Batman v Superman - The best thing I can say about this one is that I enjoyed Amy Adams and I enjoyed seeing Wonder Woman for the first time in a long time on the big sscreen. 11. Batman Forever - Probably the worst Batman movie I've ever seen. I loathe Jim Carrey's Riddler and wasn't too keen on Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. More importantly, Joel Schumacher just isn't a good director Last edited by ThePreacher; 02-18-2020 at 05:45 AM. |

Don't forget Wonder Woman. Batman sent her an email and delivered a package to Diana in Paris via an armored car. She also thanked him by email in the end. If it weren't for the actions of the Dark Knight Detective there wouldn't have been a reason for Wonder Woman to reminisce the whole dang movie
