Disney has their streaming channel coming up and adding True Lies in 4K UHD would be a huge selling point for them. So yes in a way this release news for 2020 kind of makes perfect sense.

It's also possible James Cameron is almost done with supervising and approving the transfers and Disney wants to jump on it. Or they don't need Cameron's approval anymore.

I really do hope this pans out.

That poster art IIRC is an official piece done recently by some artist. I've seen that same artwork when Roku Channel had True Lies up on there back in January.

No one said dead, but it's definitely dying. Sales numbers conform that, and have for a while. Just because a few big titles get released doesn't mean it's as strong as it ever was, and you know that. Its' just a lazy thing people are trying to do, saying "see, it's not dead," trying to make themselves believe the inevitable isn't going to happen...
