Jaws has better odds at Uni than Panic Room ever did at Sony. Still, how many times has The Abyss been announced?

Horrible reimagining of a classic film poster. I have never liked it.

I’m not an admirer of the orange skin tones from the 2012 release. I hope the 4K is an improvement.

Glad this is coming out, but I guess it was only a matter of time. Would much rather they use the classic poster art though.

One of my top 3 movies of all time! Day 1 purchase.

While PQ/AQ are the priority, I wish Universal would use the original Roger Kastel artwork created for the theatrical movie poster. That artwork is classic, in the same league as the movie itself. This reworked art is amateurish.

And what's with "Nick+Den" on the "W" of JAWS?

yes.

the first 4K transfer was done in 2012. It was then downrezzed to 2K for theatre digital projection to 2K. Universal then re-encoded the the 4K files to 4K DCP in 2018.

We've have yet to hear the particulars of the UHD and if will be further tweaked with HDR10+ and/or Dolby Vision.

I did see Jaws theatrically back in August (with a Q&A with the First Assistant Cameraman), and the DCP looked stunning, though I’m not sure if the cinema was equipped with a 4K projector.
