I'm getting it across the board, not only WB releases.

Anyone receive this notice and still receive a pre-order on release date? I don't recall seeing this previous years.

Two days after release for me. I'm thinking about cancelling my Amazon preorder and buying on Best Buy. For some reason I've got a birthday coupon there, even though my birthday is in July and they gave me one back then.

Bummer. I may do the same.

Something must have happened at Amazon, because after reading this thread I checked on my December Pre-Orders and every new release is scheduled to be delivered 2 days after release on Thursday. It across the board: Universal, Warner Brothers and Fox.

If this is a new trend it may tip me over the edge to cancel prime after it lapses and start going back to Target/Best Buy on my Tuesday Lunch Breaks...

Yeah, both It and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood have delayed delivery times. Cotton Club, Iceman, and Millennium Actress should all arrive on release date though.

Maybe they are giving themselves some extra time due to the crazy Holiday shipping madness? My office is actually located across the street for a major hub and typically around 7am there are between 50-60 trucks getting loaded up in their parking lot. This morning they had over 250 trucks (going half a mile down the block) waiting to get loaded up, I had to drive around the block to just take in the insanity of it.

I want to say this has happening for a month or two prior to the holiday season. I noticed they were shipping recent pre-orders via UPS rather than USPS or through Amazon's own delivery service. This must have been to ensure that I received it on or before release day in some cases, because they'd already locked me into guaranteed release day delivery. I'm mentioning this because afterward I tried to add the same pre-order to my cart and it gave me an estimate of 2 days after release.

Something is definitely up and I don't like it. Release day delivery is my number 1 reason for being a Prime member. I may be heading back to RightStuf and Best Buy for my Blu-ray and DVDs soon. I tried to look past the poor packaging and removing video game discounts but Amazon has given me another reason to be disappointed.

My upcoming pre-orders for the Scream Factory Hammer films including The Abominable Snowman, Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde and To the Devil a Daughter all show delivering 2 days after release. I used to get all these on release day and with Scream Factory titles you don't have an option to get them at a store on release day.

I never signed up for Amazon Prime because, I don't necessarily need to have my movies direct on release day because, I'm not going to watch the movies immediately anyway. I have a lot of movies that I can watch in the meantime until I receive them, so what's the hurry. You'll waited this long for the movie(s) to be released, so what's a extra day or two. Christmas is every retailer's busiest time of the year, so you'll just have to be patient. It's not a matter of life or death situation. They're only movies!

It's been like that for me for quite a while. Release Date delivery used to be offered for pretty much every new release. Now it's the exception rather than the rule. Amazon has gone downhill in every way possible.

It's almost better to not pre-order and see if a new release ends up with same day delivery on release date. I've seen that happen - pre-order and you may get a new release on Thursday. Order on release date and you may get it Tuesday night.

Being patient isn't the point here. The point is that Amazon seemingly removed yet another service that we are paying for as Prime members. This has been going on for a month or two, even before the holidays.

and couldn't find them anywhere. I don't know if Prime Video is a mess or what but I'm really mad.

It'd be really interesting if deleted/extended scenes were released ahead of the rumored "SuperCut" (and on no other release). But then again, they pulled that with the audio commentary for Chapter 1 with digital releases only.

Based on this Reddit thread, I was not the only one affected. (You'll see my comments in here also.) I believe the Deleted/Alternate Scenes were initially planned to be in the release and a developer was working off that earlier version when making the Twitter video.

According to the director himself, the scenes were held for the supercut. Here's an audio recording of him talking about the deleted scenes/supercut at an event in L.A. last night: https://twitter.com/beverlyskey/stat...88816134574082

Thanks, I'll have to listen to the recording after work. That's exciting that it's still being discussed. I'm hopeful it happens, even if two scenes will need to be filmed.

Of course! I can't take credit for the recording, since it was posted by another fan who attended. He mentions three scenes I believe so maybe he's thought of another one to film!
