Any of you guys know if there will be single releases of the movies? I would love to update them.

But I already own the old DVD-set from the US incl. the Soundtracks. And I am not sure about or really interested in his new movie/documentary.

I'm both disappointed at the fact that we have to keep waiting and relieved for my wallet.

I'm actually quite happy about this delay- we have 4 or 5 mega sets coming out between now and June. Plus helps the wallet.

Count me as another in the relieved camp. I can't wait (figuratively) to get my hands on this set, but I paid in advance for my copy with deff.com and it'd be nice to have that money back to get through this month. I'm gonna cancel that one and put in a "placeholder" order for it with Amazon.

Ordered through Diabolik, so the money is already gone! No worries about this, however. Plenty of unwatched recent purchases that need viewing to tide me over!

Glad this got pushed way back...since I pre-ordered the Al Adamson set at the beginning of the month.

Content approval, eh? That sounds a bit like the Oldboy situation, hopefully it pulls through intact.

And while I'm glad that the burden on my wallet has been eased in March, in June I'm already looking at Parasite, Tokyo Story, Takeshi Kitano Collection, maybe Portrait of a Lady on Fire, and now this. And then Gamera in July, it's not going to be easy.

I would imagine it’s more likely to do with Tartan if it’s rights related, but who knows.

I see this set has now disappeared from Arrow's site entirely. Surely they've have said something it was on the verge of selling out? They did sound rather tentative about 15th June so perhaps the issues are more severe than initially thought?

Hopefully it's just sold out rather than been pulled but I'm starting to expect the worst.

Anyone who's pre-ordered via Arrow had an update on it at all?

Amazon still have it up, and they usually post updates about delays before arrow update their site with new dates, so I'd lean towards it being sold out at Arrow.

I e-mailed them about it and they fired back this in under an hour:

Hi *******,

Thanks for your email. We have just temporarily removed the Jodorowsky boxset from the site whilst we review stock allocations. We still have your order safe on our system.

Many thanks

Team Arrow
So it looks all good from here!

With Amazon.uk not currently shipping to the US, what’s the best site to import this from based on experience?

Probably the Arrow store, Base, Diabolikdvd, or Zavvi.

In preparation for this set, which is a blind buy, have bought Santa Sangre.
Is this a decent introduction to Jodorowsky?

Yes. Hell of a film and pretty accessible in comparison to his other works.

Yeah, it's a good introduction - visually terrific and good fun, especially if you like giallo / slashers (it was produced by the Argentos).
