Not to mention, it's Paramount instead of WB. and paramount did a great its a wonderful life 4k and other great releases. I wouldn't say they're going to make sonic have a bad 4k being the hit it is, but we'll see.

I was pleasantly surprised (even after hearing many other people say the same thing so my expectations were a tad high ha). My wife and 7 year-old daughter who knew nothing about Sonic going in really enjoyed it as well!

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3794354/technical bumblebee shows 2k DI: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4701182...ef_=tt_dt_spec T-DF shows 2k DI: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6450804...ef_=tt_dt_spec i guess chances are good that this info is accurate. It's worth nothing that both Ad Astra and First Man are shown as native 4K on blu-ray.com but is listed as only 2K DI on imdb.com Last edited by obmas; 02-26-2020 at 06:47 PM. |

Loved the movie. My favorite games movie of all time. Low bar, still. As a comparison, I didn't like Detective Pikachu at all.

I skipped this in theaters, will unfortunately will wait till 4K release. Just cause it's 2K doesn't mean it won't look amazing.
We can literally Source a ton of movies with 2K DIs, Like the Transformers films and they look great on UHD to name some. |

2K DCP doesn't necessarily mean 2K DI.
The Force Awakens didn't get a regular 4K DCP because they were rushing it, despite the fact that the movie was native 4K (in fact, all of the Disney Star Wars films are native 4K, even Solo). The only DCPs that exist for it are a 2K DCP and an IMAX 4K DCP. |
