My ONLY complaint is the back cover. Kinda of big spoiler, isn't it? I mean, for someone watching it for the first time, it kinda gives away who the real killer is.

I know several will say this is a film that's 40 years old, but there are SO many young people today who never saw the original and it IS a bit of a spoiler.

Honestly if I had never seen this before the back cover would lead me to think the killers are a mother and child duo.

Got my second copy today from Amazon...First was from Target with 2 dings...let them know and they’re sending out a replacement and told me to keep the dinged up one. Amazon copy is mint. Probably gift my extra copy to my nephew. Both were sent in envelopes...the Target copy in a super tight envelope, soon as I saw it I knew it would be damaged.

I have been kicking this one around to pick up, but I think I will have to get this movie on steelbook. The cover looks really good and I am so glad they went with the original artwork.

Wow. This ending up being a steelbook instead of a metalpack is quite possibly the most pleasant surprise of this very sorry despicable year. Picked up the last copy at my Best Buy today. The back could be better but overall this is easily the best Friday steelbook released so far.

I converted my Friday steel to house the entire Paramount 8. I dont think they will be coming out with a full steelbook set anytime soon.

I used the discs from the Friday the 13th Complete Collection blu ray set. Its a six disc set with Parts 5 and 6 being on one disc and Parts 7 and 8 being on one disc. So I stacked 3 discs on each side. (I dont think steelbooks can house anymore than 6 discs. ) I used the plastic case from a 6 disc steelbook (Alien 6 Film Collection) and just switched the plastic cases. There are tutorials on youtube on how to switch out plastic cases. But some people have slightly different methods. Basically I use a credit card to pop out the plastic case from the steel with no damage to the steel. To get the spine off I use heat from a stove to loosen the glue then I use an exacto knife to take the spine off. It helps to practice on old steelbooks that you dont mind damaging. I put soft paper towels on the table Im working on so I dont scratch the steels.

Never noticed before, but the steelbook’s inner art, with the blank disc hubs kind of looks like someone peeking through the brush with binoculars. Lol.

At the very least, I hope we get matching steelbooks for 2-4...ideally the whole series.

Only a Blu-ray from a source created 10 years ago? Even so, I know the excitement here is due to the SteelBook, it does look nice, and I like the movie...it's a classic.

For me, I'm just going to have to wait for the UHD version...thank you.
