I presume connery fans like the opposite. I compare Connery praising to Adam Driver praising. I find it totally crappy. I have no problems if u praise Keanu Reeves because even knowing hes a one line acto at least he gives his best every time.

OFc not, Connery started the movies. He was the first so how can his involvement be crap. Whats crap is this kinda praising his lack of acting skills. Im not saying From Russia with Love or Goldfinger are bad movies but people shouldnt vote for it against Casino Royale or Goldeneye because if they do they are voting for an inferior movie and Connery is not such an amazing Bond. The lack of believable fighting scenes, even Moore is better in the fighting scenes than Connery. The only thing Connery has that others dont is maybe being bald....Because chest hair??? I guess brosnan or dalton have it and they are better actors by far...

And one liners?? Brosnan is better...

So why praise Connery??

And you are entitled to that just dont sell me the Connery is the best bond BS because he was the first or because we should always choose the classics to preserve it and im all for that just not for the wrong stuff...

On the Waterfront is a movie from the 50s and has better and believable fighting scenes than the majority of Connery Bond movies. So no, i wont preserve or prefer crappy movies or performances just because they are "classics". What was Zardoz all about if not chest hair??

I would understand praising Connery for movies such as The Hill, The Man Who Would Be King or The Untouchables but not for the Bond movies.

5 minutes of Casino Royale are better than the entire Connery Bond movies together except Goldfinger...
