I watched the first 2 yesterday and while Olympus is not exactly a demo disc, I think it's far from the disaster some critics made it out to be. As soon as it ended I popped in the Blu-ray disc and no question about it, the 4K is better. The colors are more intense, details are crisper and contrast is sharper, there is just no way the Blu-ray is better. Even my wife agreed, and she doesn't care for a format either way...
London has Fallen is even better! Olympus is a darker film, with most of it happening at night and/or in dark rooms and hallways. But 4K is the way to go, no doubt about it! Bottom line, if you enjoy these you can buy the German set without reservations. |
