This was my first movie of the new year and I rated it a 4 in the poll..
It just worked for me on all levels. I don't dislike Robert's but have never quite understood her mass appeal.. but this was my favourite role of hers. In fact, the whole cast was on point for me. As I get older and more crotchety, I'm starting to have a disdain for longish movies. This thing had me on the edge of my seat and I loved the ending even if it was completely predictable from the early moments of the movie. I'd definitely pick this up if made available on physical disc but had absolutely no issue with the 4K DV/ATMOS presentation I watched... and will probably rewatch soon... |

Thought this was great. There's just a pervading sense of doom throughout, & that score... wow.
![]() Agree with some of the posts above that the song choices were a little odd. Especially the one Roberts & Ali danced too. ![]() Laughed out loud at the ending (those first few theme tune lyrics felt so on the nose), & the irony of a streaming movie unlikely to ever get a disc release extolling the value of physical media was just hilarious. ![]() 8/10 from me. ![]() |

Watched this last night and loved it. If they'd reduced that running time it might have fit into more limited cinema showings but Netflix gave it oxygen with that extra time.
Cast was excellent (even Kevin Bacon wasn't his usual Kevin Bacon). Roberts was the best she'd been in years. She ain't got any dance moves though (maybe that was deliberate). We didn't need Denzel in this. I found the film to be doom-laden and suspenseful. Lots of intelligent questions for those wanting that. I don't know anything about the book or when it was published but I took the film to be an allegory about being careful who you vote for. The irony of pressed discs in a major plot point in a film that's really only on Netflix isn't lost on me either. 9/10 I mentioned the director's other excellent film Comet here which has fallen off the edge of the earth sadly. I hope there's not an almost 20 year gap for his next film. |

Watched this movie and really enjoyed it. Was a big fan of Mr. Robot, so I had some expectations coming in for this one, and it didn't disappoint. Also, it's always a plus including dialogue of home internet troubleshooting with one of the characters actually being knowledgeable enough to make it sound believable.
And ironically enough, this streaming movie made me appreciate my physical collection a bit more. |

Since there is no thread for a physical media release, I'll ask it here: any news on that? I'd love to own this on blu-ray.

I thought the movie was fantastic: outstanding acting, lots of powerful scenes, and the ending was just right
![]() The one letdown is the absence of a 4K disc release, I remember having the same disappointment with 'Don’t Look Up'. I am however thoroughly impressed by the caliber of so many movies/tv series that Netflix creates and streams as exclusives. |
