It literally makes ZERO sense how faster load times are locked behind a paywall when BC is using an NVME!
Activision are amongst the Top 3 slimeballs in the industry imo. EA and a toss up being Gearbox and 2K as well as Bethesda for a 3rd. I like what somebody else said. They're making console players pay extra for the same game PC users get regardless of what their PCs could handle and when they do upgrade PC parts in whole or part, they can access those features. Faster loading? Get an SSD. Better graphics? New GPU. Oh, not to mention its usually cheaper to buy. |

Please consider it this way; the art assets for the PS5/X2 version are sitting right there in the form of the PC version, and yet Activision aren't charging PC owners a bigger price to play the game with the settings maxed out! But they ARE charging new next-gen console owners for the privilege of porting those assets to the new consoles! So who is ripping off whom?

That choice to wait is in the hands of consumers for now. What happens when things go all digital. I see games on there released years ago, available used on disk for like <£10 but somehow full RRP digitally £44.99 or higher. Borderlands 3 for example. ![]() That's why i absolutely despise the forced move towards digital because consumer choice is going to be eroded and price fixing with the "Like it or Lump it" attitude rampant. They'll be far, far more proactive and close any VPN digital stuff down as well that we currently do. Banning your accounts and possibly Hardware being bricked. I would say cars are dying a similar death. We all knew improvements had to be made but they are trying to force us into something before it's fair or user ready instead of targeting bigger problem areas. In gaming, this is now becoming the bloated development costs which imo are completely fabricated and lies. If the cost to make games was so, so high, how come they somehow always find fat bonuses for execs whilst firing rank & file employees en masse? I think we're 1-2 gens away from the BS these companies are going to pull and dress it up all nice. Mark my words now. You all as gamers are gonna get gaslighted and Stockholm syndrome done to you ![]() |

Interesting points.
Even digital games can suffer from a "wait for a price drop" scenario, as I often do for PSVR games that I'm on the fence about if the price is too high. Only when that price drops to something more reasonable, do I buy it. It's great to see Ubisoft offering games for PS5 for 59.99 and not 69.99. That's a good start. Plus the free upgrades to PS5 when those are ready. I wish they gave a release date already for those things. Cyberpunk too, which won't be available for PS5 till 2021 some time. The first trailer for this game at Gamescom, that was just a cinematic cutscene with Ronald Regan talking at a table. Not a good demo at all. I don't know why game companies think showing a CGI trailer is a good idea. It only makes the final game look worse in comparison if the graphics can't match the quality. |

I'm hardcore when it comes to the price i pay for a video game; i'm almost always 'lagging behind' new releases, so it's no biggie to wait for it to drop in price. The Far Cry series, Assassins Creed from Syndicate (PC) onwards i have bought on week of release, but for Gears 5 and GTA5, i held off for the price to drop. As i have 'all 3 formats' being 1X, PC and PS4, there is always something that hits my varied pricing point. (And yes, quality optimisation is a major point as well.)

Yes, there are way too many potentially good games to buy so that allows for careful selection and playing one game at a time while buying one game at a time, which affords time to wait for a sale price for other games on a list.
One thing I'm really surprised about these past couple years for PS4 are all of the new games being released for 39.99, 29.99 and 49.99. Some of them are lengthy, full games, while others are remasters or smaller stories. Mafia Definitive Edition, practically a brand new game from scratch but for the story and voices probably. 39.99 Star Wars Squadrons for 2D and PSVR, 39.99. I hope PS5 keeps this trend going for games that want to offer that nice option. |

Getting back to COD, this might be the first year I skip it. I will have 20 VR games to start next year with and I have 30 PS+ games to start. I simply won’t have space for COD if it’s as large a game as Modern Warfare. Also, the Black Ops series was never my Favourite. Much prefer the Modern Warfare’s. Especially 3 and the current one. |

I'm more excited for this one than i have been for years, as it is finally getting the Black Ops series back on track. It was never the intention for Black Ops 2 to catapult into 2025, and BOIII was 98% 'Cyber Warfare' and nothing to do with the previous games. With Jason Blundell gone from Treyarch, we can also hope there are some new top-notch creatives involved with this one.

Please tell me that team deathmatch isnt gonna have the jet skis on armada, I feel like they want to get rid of team deathmatch and turn everything into warzone.
Plus to comment on your response alot of streamers are actually allowed to stream it today so you will be able to see alot of gameplay even though I think the sbmm matchmaking is turned off because its streamers only right now so they want to hide all the ngativity for now. |
