Jordyn, the studio intern: "Wow, that looks soooo dated. I wasn't even born when Teddy Murphy last had a hit movie."

Bob, the studio exec: "Yeah, needs more photoshop. The kids like photoshop. Get to work, Jordan."

Jordyn, the studio intern: "It's Jor-dyn."

Bob, the studio exec: "Whatever."

When life gives you lemons, make a better poster (just for paramount to ruin it)

That artwork on the slipcover is way too busy and hurts my eyes... It's so horrible. I like the simplicity of the steelbook much better.

In regards to the movie itself... Hell yeah! I've only ever seen this on TV multiple times, so never even in full HD. So I can't wait to check it out in 4K as it's one of my favorite Murphy films.

Both covers are awful, with the regular being too busy and the SteelBook looking like street graffiti, but the latter at least hasn't flipped the original poster image of Murphy, so I might go for the SteelBook, here.

It's tempting to wait and see if an import disc gets better artwork, but I might not be able to hold out.

EDIT: If those online images are accurate, they've severely brightened the image of Murphy on the SteelBook and added highlights to the flipped image on the standard edition. Ugh.

Slipcover is way better despite being busier. And at least it's in the spirit of the original poster art.

I dunno what they were thinking with the Steelbook. It's like Coming to America became a gritty thriller about an African prince joining an inner-city gang.

Also, no John Amos or Eriq La Salle on the standard edition.

Didn’t realise they’d already shot the sequel!

Entire cast returning plus Wesley Snipes as an African warlord

This will be day 1 for me. The standard cover is a little too busy but it's a marketing thing these days. It certainly catches your attention.

Probably in the minority with this one, but both covers look pretty good to me. I'll likely have a hard time deciding between the two. At first glance though, the steelbook slightly edges out the standard.
