Folks should also realize that the price is only good for this weekend. It will jump up by Monday. It's $50 title. FYI.

Dang it, for a sec I thought I had read the title as The Pagemaster.

Watched the hell out of this movie as a kid and that is some cool packaging, but I'm not trying to pay $38 or $50 to own it. There are very few movies I would pay that much to own in 4k, Midsommar was the first and only one so far.

I was hoping for a domestic release since I've been holding off on the Australian release. I actually watched some of it on Amazon prime last night but turned it off thinking the transfer didn't look too great. Lo and behold a 4K is announced by VS. Thank you

A terrible shame about the original negative being abandoned in the garage of a home in Van Nuys (and subsequently lost) just a few years ago. Still, the interpositive this is being sourced from may yield terrific results!

Have been wanting to revisit this film for AGES and it would appear that now is the time.

This is a must own,but I unfortunately I'll miss the preorder until payday next week.
Can't manage to spend more money after the Gamera set,88 film's sale and the limited Cruel Jaws.

These pre-orders, and recent sales are completely devastating my wallet, and credit cards. Rambo steelbook set, Dawn of the Dead, Diabolik Blue Underground sale, Shout Select sale, They Live Sacred Bones 4k, Friday the 13th boxset, Evil Dead 1/2 steelbook...... they couldn't wait a couple weeks? GAH!

....pre-ordered.

Me too. Thank goodness I still have a job during these times. Grateful I can still indulge in this obsession.

I almost watched this on Amazon Prime the other day. I know I enjoyed this as a kid, but it's been such a long time since I saw it (late 80's/early 90's) I honestly couldn't tell you why, other than it had a cool looking hawk in it.

Random bit of trivia: Cubby Broccoli cast Tanya Roberts in A View to a Kill after seeing her in this.

That title still hasn't made it off VHS, who knows if the source material even still exists.

I am a bit worried about that line saying they are bringing "select extras" from the previous DVD. I would prefer an ultimate edition so I can regain some shelf space...

Coscarelli has said he wished that movie didn't exist, so I'm fine without it.

Do you know any other 4K UHDs coming from interpositive masters?

When I visit this website every single day, this is the type of announcement that I'm always hoping to see.
