Doesn't seem to bother Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon and they routinely sink $100M+ into individual projects. Pirating is not as big a deal as it used to be, largely due to the ease, accessibility, and price of subscription services.

Most of the people who download 1080p rips online weren't going to theatres or buying Blu-rays anyway so that's not really a significant factor here.
