I just placed an order for the $140.00 box set.

I was hoping to wait until the next payday in mid-February, but I did not expect to see this box selling so well.

These movies are godawful, but they're a good kind of godawful.

I don’t look at films as being good or bad. They’re either entertaining, or they’re not. A movie doesn’t have to be good to be entertaining.

Thanks for the input. I went with Media Mail. Throwing the dice, I know, but I just couldn't go another $15.

FOMO got the better of me and I ordered it, despite having hated the Code Red ones I saw.

Hoping the 1:33:1 framing on those will make them a lot easier on the eyes, and I’m intrigued by the directors cuts. Ultimately, Ghastly Ones and Guru are what sold me on the set, and how much I loved the Adamson set.

Shame it’s not as complete as the Adamson set. With the Adamson set all I had to do was pick up Nurse Sherri and and Doctor Dracula from VinSyn to be complete, but don’t want to pick up at full price the limited edition (only 100 left) Seeds just for the alternate cut from VinSyn, and those Garagehouse blus are getting harder to find

This is my first ever big preorder. When I started buying weird boutique blus I sort of promised myself I wouldn't jump on these. But then when the Al Adamson set sold out and I was able to snag one on Hamilton for $199 and I've enjoyed that so much that the FOMO is too much so I might as well grab this when it's at the cheapest it ever will be.

I've loved the Milligan I've seen so far so I'm guessing this will be almost as enjoyable (if not quite as large) as the Adamson set.

That Adamson set changed me. I've had so much fun with it that I'm now willing to risk a big order on these big sets when I normally would have let them go by in favor of whatever was most on sale at the time.

This was my first taste of Milligan (I watched The Body Beneath first), and I'd recommend it as a starting point for curious UK buyers.

Well, I’d like to sample Milligan first with Seeds/Vapors or the Garagehouse releases but if it’s going to disappear quickly I can’t really do that

How is his 80s output? Is it more polished or is it as rough as his early 70s films? I’ve only seen The Body Beneath, The Man with Two Heads, and The Bloodthirsty Butchers.

Just as rough, though The Weirdo is surprisingly half-decent.

Definitely more polished, but also more tame and less insane. still pretty weird though.

I generally don't look at films as being either good or bad, either. But I do have a very low tolerance bar for technical deficiency. If a film is so cheaply made that it feels like watching someone's backyard barbecue camcorder footage, I'm out. I sat through enough of those, sometimes forcibly, that being able to tune out if I wanted to feels liberating. I can sit through the worst of the worst if it looks like they took production value seriously but I just don't have the time to watch shoddy work. It's gotta feel like a film, not my neighbor's slides of his kids' birthday parties

Oh I figured it out, it gives you a tick box to choose paid or free

the worst reviewed titles on Letterboxd seem to be:
Bloodthirsty Butchers
The Man with Two Heads
Guru the Mad Monk
Legacy of Blood
Carnage

But Legacy of Blood sounds like the only one that’s unwatchable
