They also suggested 80s in the Facebook hashtags.

Looking at Paramount-distributed films in the 80s that would likely no longer be with Paramount, I've absolutely no idea what it could be, unless it turns out to be a TV movie?

And the Beverly Hills tag, Cult Films.

Suppose Paramount somehow acquired Fatal Games or something. The American Scream, Night Life AKA Grave Misdemeanors

Pretty sure they didn't license the film from Paramount. They've been pretty specific with their wording that they just got the materials for the restoration from Paramount.

Coming to the Culture Shock Releasing label are two never before on disc SOV films - Streets of Death (1988) & Night Ripper (1986) both directed by Jeff Hathcock.

In STREETS OF DEATH two serial killers disguised as student filmmakers start shooting snuff movies in which they torture and kill hookers and sell the tapes to a sleazy merchant.

In NIGHT RIPPER a masked killer named “Ripper” stalks and kills off models in very disturbing ways. A local photographer gets involved as one of the models he’s photographed in the past becomes a victim.

If you’ve seen Jeff’s other film VICTIMS! you will surely like these and you know what you’re getting into. As a special treat for Seinfeld fans both films feature a young Larry “No Soup For You” Thomas and really showcase his acting chops.

Info on art, disc(s) specs and more will be released soon.

I just got mine a couple days ago too. Didn't realize until I saw the back that the slipcover art was done by Stephen Romano. Been a big fan since I stumbled upon his Shock Festival book several years ago.

Extremely highly recommended for anyone who digs this cover and likes art books. I can't even imagine the amount of time that went into the creation of that book.

Some other disc cover art he's done:

Seems like there's a couple others I'm forgetting.

I'm not usually a fan busier artwork, but his stuff works for me more often than not for some reason.

I watched CreepTales last night. I was not prepared for a surprise appearance by Tom Kenny (Mr. Show, and the voice of freaking Spongebob)

I’m a sucker for low-budget oddball anthologies.

Ended up watching Creeptales today, really enjoyed it overall! Definitely recommend people pick it up if they haven't. If you're into anthologies and SOV~you might get a kick out of it

It's a rare SOV flick I'd recommend to people who generally aren't SOV fans. It's definitely a more polished and professional production than the average SOV movie.

I'd stop short of calling it a forgotten gem, but I really enjoyed it. Glad it got a nice release.

Gave Death Collector a spin today. They did such a great job with this release. The slip is sweet, the menus were well thought out and the restoration was on point. Felt like I was watching a labor of love in a way. Great release by Culture Shock. Can't wait to see what they have coming up next...

The only problem I had with the release was that they encoded the "Mono" audio track as a 2.0 Dual Mono track, yet encoded everything on the Left channel only. The right channel is encoded entirely "blank" of any audio information. I even checked it in a spectrum analyzer program.

So on many receivers, you have to adjust the settings so it'll play on the Center or Front-only channels. Otherwise everything just comes out of the Left speaker only... which just sounds odd. It took me a while to even find a suitable "Front" setting on my Yamaha receiver where it didn't sound absolutely wonky.

That's really the first time I've ever seen that done on a Blu-ray release that has Mono audio.

In the future they should really encode a Mono track as either 1-channel Mono or true "Dual Mono" on both the Left + Right tracks.

I haven't watched it yet but that's interesting. Surely that's not an intentional choice and is a mistake.

I did contact them about it, and they responded back that it was correct and not an encoding error. I would beg to differ, but...

I'm sorry to hear that about the audio issues. I didn't notice anything different on my end when I watched it today~but I am by no means an expert. I don't have a stereo set up or anything. Just the player and TV. Hope you were able to watch and enjoy after adjusting
