A few shots from the remastered episodes from Seasons 10 & 11. These episodes have been reconstructed from the original film elements. However some reels are missing so an upscale of the video master had to be used for a few scenes.

I have a feeling that HBO Max is very likely, but (and I hope I'll eat my words here one day) a complete series blu-ray of a 40-year-old, 350+ episode show just doesn't seem likely incredibly unlikely ever since WB became WBD.

As I said before, I don't think HBO Max or a Blu-Ray release is likely and they may even order the remaining stock of DVD sets disposed of. DALLAS - like all other classic popular WB shows - is something they need and want to monetize and it's easier for them to do that elsewhere, because nothing on HBO Max is monetized. It will go to the usual VOD (iTunes, Google Play, Prime Video, etc.) and probably FreeVee or Pluto for ad revenue, though it has been very recently said - but not substantiated yet - that WBD is going to launch an ad-supported streaming service, which would be the perfect place to drop their classic TV show catalog from the prime-time network days.

It would be nice to get a Knots Landing remastered complete series as well!

This is phenomenal news.
To the nay sayers, IMO they will follow through, the "boomer" set is a large part of their audience and this would be a good hook.
Look at this Dallas User Ratings. This isn't a niche show like Trek. This was a main stream blockbuster.

Dallas was my fav TV show after SPACE1999. It just went bad after Bobby was in the shower. But the first few seasons were the best ever.

I think they lost a lot when Jim Davis died,
but yes, the shower season was not so good.

I am very excited for this actually.

Here's a scene from the remastered Season 10 which was originally edited from film to a video master. They have gone back and scanned the original film negatives.

I just can't watch Dallas after Bobby came back alive. Just like how Knots landing went down the tubes after Karen was kid napped. The best was the first few seasons until just after the Wolf bridge group.

I know a few people that love and watch Dallas all the way through Season 9 and don't watch season 10 onwards

I like 9 on down. Once April got on the show it was all down hill from there on.

I watched the entire series about 8 or so years ago for the very first time and I was bowled over with how the writers were able to keep you enticed for sometimes 30 episodes a season each and every episode. That just does not happen today with the younger crop of writers that typically take a movie scenario and try to stretch it out to a season long length (even many streaming and cable shows where the seasons are shorter succumb to too much bloat).

I was heavily invested in the show and thought it was excellent all the way through about the end of season 12. After that it was a fine television show just not as good as its previous 12 seasons.

All that I've seen of the remaster looks excellent and as an HBO Max user - am anticipating being able to start a rewatch.

Thanks to the user that mentioned Falcon Crest was on freevee. I've wanted to catch that one for a while so it's nice to be able to experience it. Hopefully it stays long enough for me to watch it all seeing as I don't have as much time as I did eight years ago for Dallas. It takes me a lot longer to watch something than it did then.

I never made it through season 9.

[Show spoiler]They made the lesbians the villains and made JR more sympathetic.

Too bad they were never allowed to bring Knots landing to DVD thanks to some songs. They only did 3 seasons

Unfortunately, they only did the first 2 seasons. You can find bootleg Blu-ray of the other seasons on eBay, but they were recorded SD from the Soap Opera channel. Picture quality is terrible.

It isn't that later seasons were bad, more that they weren't as good as the first 6 years of the series were, though granted that is a very high bar.
