Not a new transfer, but when it comes to old-ass transfers from A Turnip Cures Elvis then this is shockingly competent and thoroughly enjoyable for what it is, as long as people can get past that 'old transfer is old' look. As for the OG audio, you never know what might turn up on the disc...

I've been fortunate enough to QC this Sneakers Blu-ray for Plumeria, with their permission a screenshot of the main menu is below with the final list of extras. What the menu does not show are the audio options for the film itself, Plumeria got hold of the OG 2.0 audio mix from Universal and it sounds lush. The 5.1 is there too which the Blu defaults to, just be sure to press the manual audio select button on your player's remote control to access the 2.0. (Both tracks are encoded with lossless DTS-HD MA)

And by the way: this is a Fidelity in Motion encode on a BD50 disc.

Not bad, pair it with the Region 1 DVD and you'll have all the extras produced.

I own this so many times on so many formats that I'm still shocked they never came over to the UK.

Never seen or heard of this before! I'm in just to support the project more than anything, but the cast looks stellar.

Hello! No, never heard of 8 Kean Street, so it wouldn't be us!

I found out about this the week after I had purchased both the US Blu-ray and the DVD and put them in one case. Coincidentally, my friend wants to buy Sneakers on Blu-ray, so even if it would be nice to have one disc with all the stuff, it still all works out very nicely!

It’s a gem. High-quality tech thriller caper with a touch of humour. Wonderful cast of pros portraying immensely likeable characters topped off with a varied, multi-theme score from Maestro Horner. If you think you might like it you’ll probably end up loving it. Yep, I just put in a preorder.

The second best Horner score, just behind Rocketeer.

This seems to be the only thing missing:

""The Making of Sneakers" Documentary (40:00)"

Pity. As it's more substantial than the usual bitty featurettes.

The score is truly wonderful but flippin’ heck, he recycled a bunch of it for Apollo 13. I know that’s an old complaint about Horner but it doesn’t make it any less true. (Priscilla Page starts her commentary by acknowledging Horner’s penchant for “borrowing” from his other works, that won me over then and there.)

"Audio Commentary by director/co-writer Phil Alden Robinson, co-writers/co-producers Lawrence Kasker and Walter F. Parkes, and director of photography John Lindley"

Is this different to the commentary listed above (for the new Blu)?
