Same with amazon.fr. I've been eyeing the Primal Season 1 set that got released only in France (besides the US) and it went through the same thing: was not available to pre-order outside of France until it reached the exact release date, so I assume unless this sells out it will only be available to order on release day from outside of France, Italy, etc. on Amazon.

I received my copy from fnac: I'm actually a bit disappointed as I didn't even read to see what the skull thingy was, it would have been FAB had it been a USB key, but instead is a pin (ok who actually wears pins nowadays?) and the steelbook is shiny. This would have actually been much better in brushed/matte finish.

Also, for those interested, it's all in French: the pvc box and the artwork on both discs. The poster (? - haven't opened it) is folded and placed in a re-sealable plastic bag, Japan-quality.

You buy from a French outlet, you get French text. Same would have happened if Germany or Mexico was putting out the same steelbook. You would get German and Spanish text.

You write this as it were a given, and it's not. Very often they don't change anything, so I wanted to put it out there in case those looking for a cheaper deal that it comes with this "downside".

I believe all ToC releases have pins.
Usually the steelbook is in english, but the discs and outerbox (and booklets if any) are in French.

the poster is in English and it smells funny, maybe because it isn't made from paper, or if it is, it's weird paper.

Presume it was actually releases last Monday as people have copies now ?

Eh I guess it's not always the case. I suppose the artwork on fnac's website was a bit misleading as well.

I got this from FNAC too and it is the first time a release like this has had French text all over it. Just my two pence worth. I was surprised. Though I don't care as the outer case is pig ugly and I will take the stellbook out of it and ditch the plastic.

To answer my question Warner Shop customer service is crap.

Used the online messaging Friday morning after posting here.

They finally replied late Monday to say they couldn’t read my message as the text field on their form was blank, the text was their when I submitted, so now replied to their email with my question again which will now probably take them until Wednesday to respond to.

But before I embark on my quest to get a replacement: My squished steel looked like they had the pin with the sharp ends placed over the steelbook - that seems like a disaster waiting to happen (case in point - see above)...

Wow I've never seen something that bad. Did this come with the (in this case useless) pvc box with the ToC artwork, and then inside a moulded clear pastic tray where the pin is held in place, and then the steelbook under it?
I can still see what happened to you in the scenario above, but you didn't include that part in the photo.
