Can't wait, even though I personally think it's one of those movies that's more a big budget curiosity(like A Cure for Wellness) than it is a good movie.

A Cure for Wellness basically was released into the theatrical witness protection program. It came out with minimal publicity and quickly vanished without a trace.

What Lies Beneath was a massive box office hit, with two of the biggest movie stars in the world at the time.

I'm not sure there's really much that connects them.

I haven't seen A Cure for Wellness, so I'm not judging it on an artistic level, but I also think What Lies Beneath is an exceptionally well-crafted popcorn thriller, with a clever script, some of Robert Zemeckis's best direction, and amazing performances from Ford and Pfeiffer.

What Lies Beneath is a great thriller but A Cure for Wellness is a whole other level, absolutely sublime.

The price point is not reassuring for a loaded disc or even a really good transfer.

I've seen Raiders of the Lost Ark about 15 times - I can predict what's going to happen but I still enjoy it

There are some original posters that have that, but I agree, it would look better without it.

They both had (at the time at least) big budgets. But yeah, 'Wellness' had no stars to help market it and was BO flop.

I was mainly judging it artistically, and on that level, they are even to me. More an interesting curiosities with cool things about it, than they were good movies. In my opinion, of course.

That's one of the weirder criticisms of this film I've ever heard.

It's not Citizen Kane, or even Zemeckis's best film, but it's really great.

But the single reason it was a monstrous surprise hit back in 2000 is that the ending is ANYTHING but predictable.

People went to see this film and told their friends to see it almost solely because of the final half hour.
