For any of those curious about what was actually cut from H5, here goes:
1. Alternate opening featuring Dr. Death as the hermit. He performs an incantation over Michael and is later killed by being slammed onto a pulpit and having a rock driven into his chest. The scene was technically deleted and reshot while on set, so I doubt it was ever actually edited or assembled. That leaves Scream/Trancas in an interesting spot, having to do it themselves.
2. The scene of Rachel and Tina leaving the clinic and arriving at Rachel's house was actually a reshoot. In the original version - which was filmed - Billy is introduced, arriving on his BMX bike and nearly running into the girls, scaring them. He asks about Jamie with Rachel suggesting he visit her at the clinic later. (This is why Billy is at the clinic. He's not a patient, at least not long term, as inferred in the final cut.) Anyway, this scene was reshot to what we now see in the film, and the whole 'subplot' of Billy and his bike was nixed, and never shot. This included the Tower Farm chase involving Michael in the Camaro chasing after Billy and Jamie on the BMX. (Again, never shot.)
3. "They should ban Halloween in this town" after this quote delivered by Tina, she and Samantha were supposed to perform a series of cartwheels on the clinic lawn, just prior to Tina's boyfriend arriving in the Camaro. At one point, Tina finishes a cartwheel and lands near Michael (hiding behind a tree) and, unbeknownst to her, he's just about to strike with a gardening tool when Tina notices her boyfriend in the distance and runs off. It's pretty clear this scene was shot given the shaky editing, Tina's clearly ADR looped call for "Michael!" in place of where the scene should be, and a stunt double/stand-in used in place of Sam as she runs up to the Camaro. (I've heard the actress may have sprained her ankle doing the cartwheels hence the necessity.)
4. Mike's death was trimmed to avoid an X-rating.
5. Originally, the way in which Jamie was able to escape the clinic to go in search of Tina was by disguising herself as a doctor (insert clown cop music). There's a BTS photo of this, as well as footage of the director setting up the shot and instructing Danielle Harris on how to remove the doctor's attire as she runs away, just prior to bumping into Billy.
6. At the clinic, a plain clothes officer is killed by having his head twisted around and then stomped into the ground. Later, Michael basically stampedes through the SWAT team.
7. Deputy Eddy's death was trimmed to avoid an X-rating.
8. The infamous stabbing in the laundry chute.
9. The shootout at the police station was filmed, including a close-up of Sheriff Meeker's death.
The script also features scenes of Loomis and Meeker visiting the Haddonfield Cemetary to find the grave of a young girl desecrated and her coffin stolen (referred to in the final film), Loomis and Meeker visiting the mineshaft from H4 to learn that it has been sealed with cement, and Loomis scaring a group of kids outside the Myers house during his daytime search. No telling whether any of these were shot.
