If they paid me money, I MIGHT take one. I haven't read of anyone doing a float test on an hd-dead player.

The best is the guy who bought it after buying a Toshiba that he didn't like!

I owned a Toshiba HD DVD player, but had nothing but problems. I bought this product knowing it only output 1080i, but not impressed at all with the picture. Not much better than upcoverted DVD. I'll stick with my Blu ray and e-bay this.

It seems that nothing has changed at Walmarts in Canada yet. Since they don't sell the Toshiba's as well they may possibly still be selling some at the higher price.

I'm 7, so I'm bringing down the average.......

I see Kasjun has posted queries about different Blu Ray players, and I have done the same thing for HD DVD players on the HD DVD forum, so I don't think he's spreading propaganda, he must be Format Neutral like myself, but why the blantant attack? I was merely pointing out the uninformed decision made by a Wal*Mart shopper, buying a Re-badged Toshiba after he was unsatisfied with Toshiba (I like toshiba products, so I'm in the minority here) Either way.... Welcome aboard!

Yours truly,
A fairly articulate 7 year old.
