Got mine today from Target, of course in a cardboard shell with no protection but oddly not damaged in any way!

Exactly the same for me, I was pretty amazed there was no damage, not even slight. The carboard shell is the absolute flimsiest packaging short of a paper envelope.

I bought the steelbook but totally agree with you the artwork doesn't make any sense at all. I mean what they were thinking really. It looks like how a picture is turn into arty look in some playstore app like prisma. They could have put the same artwork as the standard release and it would have been great. The artwork makes it look like some serious political drama or something. But anyways I bought it so I have to keep it.

The included BD is A locked. Paramount only owns domestic rights. Universal owns it in region B areas.

Thanks. So it will be region locked for me since my player only plays region B blu rays and I am very sure the extras are on the standard blu ray only.

Couldn't resist. Saw this in Best Buy and decided to upgrade to 4k with the Steelbook.

I have a question for Steelbooks. What do they expect you to do with the paper back on the outside? Throw it away? Just keep it loose on the outside? It's kind of annoying.

With the DUNE steelbook I trimmed it a little bit and stuck it in the inside.

Nothing, the "J-Card" is mainly there to display a bar code so they don't have to have the bar code on the case itself (though it does also contain info about the movie/the tech details etc). They're a bit like slipcovers, if you ever decide to sell, it will sell more easily/for a bit more with the J-Card intact. Or you can trim it as you did, put it in the case (which is a good idea if you want to preserve the info that is also on the back of that card). I agree it's kind of annoying (you don't quite want to dispose of it, you don't quite want to keep it as it gets in the way).

I just wish they'd make them a little smaller so they fit inside the damn case.

Doesn't seem like that's asking too much.
