Bluray.com review of the blu ray said harsh banding and artifacts all but ruin a number of scenes, and they seem to get worse as the film progresses. They think these problems will be taken care of when the 4k blu ray comes out.

The graphic novel was good, but didn't live up the hype. Might check this out, but the animation in the trailer looks rough even for Batman straight to video standards.

No no no no, you gotta check it out. If you have HBO MAX, both parts are on there. It's damn good stuff, and the animation is definitely solid.

I bought the Blu-rays of both movies and personally thought they were quite good. Whether or not a combined movie will be as good in terms of pacing and structure remains to be seen, but there's at least one version of this (split up as two movies) that's really engaging and worth seeing.

For whatever it's worth, I advocate for buying these movies if possible. Everyone has difference preferences, but I am saddened by the lack of 2D animation in the American movie industry at this point. WB is among the few to do it regularly via these DC direct-to-video adventures, or more recently with a series of Mortal Kombat movies. Sure, the animation does not compete with the best out there but I admit I am at the "take what you can get" stage (within reason).

I was wanting to know the same thing. Hopefully a deluxe edition of Batman: TLH will release in February or March to coincide with the release of The Batman.

I believe at DC fandome when they announced the upcoming animated movie slate for 2022 they said the long Halloween deluxe edition would release in the fall of 22

Idk, might be more because they know it's for a more niche market, but were there any extra features when they did TDKR deluxe edition?

There is no delay. I posted several weeks ago that the release was mentioned as coming in Winter 2022, which probably means at the end of this year.

Yes there was a brand new 70 minute documentary and audio commentary.

You might have heard of this little publicized film called "The Batman", that is coming out soon. WBHV has standing orders to release things in proximity to their DC Comics movies.

Who hasn't heard about The Batman, am I right? Fun fact Batman: The Long Halloween was supposed to kick off the new animated Tomorrowverse, but it was delayed because of The Batman. You can read all about it:
