I was hoping WB would release another classic Gangster film set and this would be a part of it. They never did.

I'll buy this in the future.

Hi - if anyone could test or has information on whether this release will be region B friendly (or works with the 'top menu' panasonic trick), I'd be greatly appreciative. My most wanted Blu-Ray for years.

All WAC releases are region-free as Warner owns them outright.

Getting this today! (supposedly - its almost 5 and Amazon still out for delivery)

Now Warner Archive needs to put out Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1931) - they bizarrely did a DVD only release of that in 2018.

It was the same master as this release from 2004:

They just wanted it back in print and available. No new work was done on it though

So in that case, not so bizarre.

The movie looks great -- VERY FILMIC. Also, I am late to the party: I had never seen this movie before. Cagney is EXCELLENT, as are the other players. If you are a fan of classic gangster movies, this one is highly recommended -- a must-see; a must-own....

Wow...... I and my husband just watched my Blu-ray on our new TV and it's beautiful. Love this movie and the transfer is amazing. Deep blacks like their suits and close-ups show amazing detail. Top Quality 100%.

No, the Premium Coll. is too busy releasing stone cold classics like Super Fly and The Haunting remake.

Yes some odd choices, but have got most of the warner archive that made it to Premium collection.

Loved the extras on this one, loved the PQ, liked the movie. the first hour of the movie I love, the final half an hour is good too, just not as good IMO. All in all a really excellent WAC edition of a good movie. Cagney was amazing, even in 2022 his acting seems alive, full of vital force, the way he handles those little delinquents is incredible. Im not a huge fan of pat obrien to be honest, but cagney carries most of the picture, when he's off the movie suffers.

could we discuss the ending?
