Even if this is true it will require HD-DUD owners to buy new players since their never obsolete player won't be able to play a new codec. Plus who is going to believe a video game clerk on this? More vaporware.

Read the release. The "codec" will increase disc space? Someone doesn't understand their subject. The cherry on top was seeing our insiders connected the the codec groups saying this is hooey.
