Genesis = Toss into the fire now Lot's daughters and this here seems to be the inspiration and general plot of this Dark Classic Western. Remember one of Lot's daughters got him drunk and...ya LOL.

I'd like to watch this again with HDR and Crispy 4K. Haven't seen this in decades the last time it was on satellite/cable.

This has to be my favorite Clint Directed film but that's because I look at it like it's a Dark Western tale from the Old Testament. I'd look at it this way so you don't get too creeped out about some of the scenes in it. It all came straight from the Good Book remember that and The Stranger. Stranger.

Gotta admit one reason The Crow is so awesome is that for a revenge/redemption movie it has an awesome and maybe still the best soundtrack in the genre of all these type of films. That's just 1 reason. Most films don't even get a budget for soundtracks. Kinda sucks today. Maybe I forgot a movie...

That opening scene where Clint appears on horseback – out of the hazy horizon – is one of the greatest starts to any Western.

Dee Barton's remarkable score sets an appropriately eerie mood.

This is a tough one.... I just bought the blu last year and it is unwrapped and with that awesome slip. Hard to justify getting this release with more older re-releases coming up. Like Scream 2 and The Fog. It's easier to justify upgrading older transfers like those old blu's.

I have the original blu, the Kino biu and the digital. I can assure you that I have the film.

Damn it. Just looked at the review for the Kino release. It's the same transfer as the Universal blu ray and not a remaster. I'm sure I was aware of that at the time I bought it, but just don't remember now. It kind of makes a difference.

The list of shit to buy gets longer. Not a problem usually, but so much stuff to get this holiday season.

I understand where you are coming from I was just having a giggle
I also own the nice looking 40th Anniversary blu so the 4K better be a damn big upgrade.

Clint Eastwood is one of my favourite actors I would love a huge 4K UHD boxset eventually of all his films. I don't like the way his films are being released randomly at the moment all over the place...some in the US only by Kino, others worldwide...very annoying.

So I'm like you if the bluray is already very good I do not mind waiting for a later opportunity to pick up a 4K version. Also I rarely pay full prices- 10-15 euros/dollars is my sweetspot.
