Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.

Day 1 for me. Love this show! Missed the last few seasons so very much looking forward to watching them on bluray!

Whatever was on the DVD is what will likely be on the Blu.

Eh, I don't see the big fret on the disc count just yet. Friends had 22-24 episode seasons, and the Blu-Ray release for that was just two discs per season. I have a few releases of other sitcoms that do the same. I didn't really notice any issues with the quality on them.

Do we know anything about the packaging otherwise? It's also possible that the discs aren't completely broken up by season, but rather each disc just has a set amount of episodes on it. In that case, you could equally divide the 153 episodes to have 9 episodes on each disc, and come out to an even 17.

Friends was/is notorious for janky compression despite a remaster, with plenty of reviews wondering how good it could have looked with more breathing room.

I would expect it have one case per season like the Parks & Rec set did. FWIW, the UK S1-8 DVD is listed as 23 discs, so it's unlikely to be more discs than that.

How was the Parks & Rec set a debacle? I may have been missing something when I spot checked the discs, but it seemed fine?

Read back through the P&R thread around the time it came out.

I’m pretty sure the answer is no, but I haven’t explicitly seen it stated, either.

Is it known if the set will include a digital code? iTunes or something?

I would say the chances are zero. Neither Office nor P&R came with a digital code.

Probably hasn't been confirmed, but you can take it to the bank.

Just got Best Buy to price match Amazon for a final sale of $83.41. I also have a $5.00 reward certificate sitting there so when I receive I’ll drop by my store for a return and repurchase and add the $5 rz cert.

Looks like this mighty arrive late again, just like park and recreations. Bullmoose has none in stock and all my other orders shipped out already.

I don’t know, I guess it just depends on where you pre-ordered it from (and maybe when too), as mine from Best Buy has already been shipped and will be here by Tuesday…

The compression on Friends is a bit rough and man do they look like utter trash (in terms of colors too) compared to the 4k DCP remastered versions show in theaters just before the pandemic.

It's also MOD, and we all know MOD doesn't mean a definite day. Some stores seem to get them in before others, but also it seems to fluctuate between releases, some are ready and some take weeks.

I think I'm gonna wait a while before getting this. Certainly not going to get it day one. They lost my trust with the P&R set.
