What are the chances of Paramount releasing this with a 3D conversion?
They are releasing Scream VI in RealD 3D. And they (alongside Disney) released a 4K 3D HFR remaster of Titanic.
I personally think Paramount would make money by doing a good 3D conversion of this film (and maybe even the first two films too).
As for other Paramount films, a 3D conversion of Top Gun: Maverick would be amazing, especially since the first film had a really great 3D conversion.

Giant Freakin Robot reports that there is a possibility that the production of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is looking at Aubrey Plaza to become the movie’s main villain. This is in light of Jim Carrey expressing his intention to retire from acting.

Seems that right now, they're filming whatever they can without the live-action actors and using the stand-in props for Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, etc. Curious to see if they got a voice actor for Shadow prior to the strike!

Can they even use their voice actors during the strike? Elba is a big-time Hollywood actor and would be part of the SAG methinks.

Also, they probably hired or are looking to hire another big-name Hollywood actor for the voice of Shadow. He's the second most popular Sonic character next to Sonic himself and they would naturally probably want to bank on a big name as the voice like they did for Knuckles. Anyone who thinks they'll cast either of his game VAs (and these people definitely exist) is kidding themselves. Colleen (who these people constantly cite as "proof") was the exception to the rule, they brought her back because they already had her on deck to voice Tails for Sonic 1's post-credits scene and they didn't market the movie around her character, so her lack of drawing power wasn't an issue. They hired a big name Hollywood actor to voice Knuckles and I can pretty much guarantee you they'll do the same for Shadow in this. Them clinging to Colleen for why they'll cast Jason Griffith is them desperately reaching and grasping for straws.

Don’t mind seeing a new villain but It won’t be the same without him. Was great to see Carrey in full Carrey mode again. I hope he would at least makes an appearance.

No, they can’t use voice actors. It was mentioned that one of the production delays for the next Spider-Verse movie is they can’t record VO (and I believe animation is done to the actors VO, so it can entirely pause production).

I think I'm all in on the #KeanuForShadow club, I could totally see (hear?) him in that voice. Tell me he's not tailor-made for the voice of Shadow. Hopefully they get this WGA/writers strike resolved soon because I, for one don't want a delay on this and they're ready to go now with a script already finished, but can't because of the actor strike (I could see a Shadow stinger at the end of Knuckles P+ S1 as well similar to Tails for Sonic 1). December 2024 is already big enough of a wait as it is.
