Thanks for the reply. I found out the bigger yellow box I mentioned is from Sony and is 32 discs vs. 21 discs for Mill Creek.

From what I've read..

Sony Sets -
Benefits: Fewer episodes per disc so in theory should be better quality.
Cons: No original theme song which also edits out some "post credit" scenes, Stacked Discs?

Mill Creek
Benefits: Brought back original theme song but I read the edits still aren't very good
Cons: Lower quality due to only 21 discs vs 32. Flimsy packaging.

I also read both sets have issues with some scenes being edited out (some people mention buying an international set to get around some edits but I couldn't confirm). If anyone has any other info please let me know as I'd like to get the most definitive set. Thanks!

My all time favorite television series. I can easily binge watch this show over and over and never get tired of it.

One of my favorite episodes is when Al has a bad toothache, and initially refuses to see a dentist.

I was considering this image of Al as my avatar some years ago, but went with the Godzilla one instead because it was too small to see the "No Ma'am" logo.

Discovered it in 2010 and it still held perfectly the test of time.
It misses "heart" and "feelings" that are two components that I seek for in a sitcom, but is so carefree, funny and with such a talented cast that it is amongst my top 10 sitcoms nonetheless.

I still can't get over that both Peggy Bundy, Gemma Teller an Leela were played by Katey Sagal.

Huh, the Unaired Pilot was slightly different from the regular version, for example there was no Christina Applegate (instead it was a brunette actress).

Applegate really looked amazing like a yellow lightning.

Different Bud too. And Ritch Shydner, who played Al's co-worker Luke in a few early episodes, got billing in the opening credits.

Fans have always bemoaned the lack of a "final episode" - the show just stops (it was never renewed).

BUT....there is a perfect season finale inside the final season. It's a three-part episode 'Breaking Up is Easy to Do' in which Al finally leaves Peggy, only to reconsider later. The whole thing is a perfect conclusion and reconciliation of the main concepts of the show, and at 90 minutes it's as good a final "special" as any.

So my advice to you if you're rewatching them all, or watching them for the first time, is to leave that episode until last.

I agree, I've always thought that three part episode was really the show's final conclusion. Thanks for mentioning it.
