I did the same thing a few weeks ago.

I have 2750 points and I am trying to save for the High School Musical 15" LCD TV.
I have a way to go to get this one, but almost half way there.

We do have till Feb 28 , 2009 to redeem the points.

I saw the HSM TV that my kids want at toystus for $299...so is that really equal to 6110 disney points???

So a year and then it ends?? I have not seen this date. I know some of the older codes had a date on them but that date has come and gone and the newer ones I was not seeing any date. Hopefully I can collect enough for the sammy lcd by then

Ya Feb 2009 is when the competition ends. I read it in the contest policy garbage. What do you guys do tho, just walk into a blockbuster/hollywood video and just ask for points? Do you search thru the cases for them? I wanna go into my store and walk out with 1000s of points too

Ya just go in and tell them your about a thousand points away from a tv! Works for me! Make sure they are a franchise and not corporate though because corporate blockbusters do not have the inserts!!

Here in WI we have family video and I don't even ask I just walk through and take out the inserts. Make sure to write on the code sheet what movie it is if you are gonna trade some of the extras. I ran into one blockbuster and one hollywood video and both had cases locked. Still have 3 hollywoods and 1 blockbuster to check out. But in Green Bay we have 5 fam videos and I have only cleaned out one and then 2 other ones just did new releases. good luck

So you just take out the inserts at Family Video and put them in your pocket? Is this stealing? haha Im'a feel weird as hell walking through this store, takin out all the inserts, then just walking out. A family video just opened up down the street from me, so give me some more details on this procedure so i can feel confident when i do it haha

I am sure if you asked they would be cool w/ you taking them. I am in my mid 20's and feel weird asking for disney codes cuz they will prolly assume they are little kids rewards. lol So ya i just walk around and pull them out, write the movie name on the front, and put them in my coat pocket. Then after being in the store for around 20 minutes and not renting a movie I head to the video game section. I look for a ps3 game that is not available and as I walk out I ask when the movie will be back. Wait a couple seconds as they type it into the puter. You walk out knowing when a game will be back, and not caring and w/ some codes. lol I ask about the game cuz I feal akward being in there so long and not renting a thing. lol

Or you can just tell them what your doing! I'm 22 yrs old and I walk up and say "promise not to look at me like a weirdo but...." they laugh and say sure if we didnt throw them away and there still in there go for it! I'd feel like I was doing something wrong if I just took them! lol

They have alot of disney figurines and kids stuff, movie poster, and other random stuff. They also have a 23" lcd samsung and a samsung bd player. most dvds are 100 points and the blu-rays are 125 points each. To get the sammy lcd it is 11,000 points and the bd player is 8,000 points. If you want you can check out my disney reward trade post. If you don't want to keep them I will take yours or I can trade for them.

Ya the older movies have dates, but it was extended. The new ones don't have a date at the bottem.

don't think so as I used old DVD codes when I signed up at the end of last year and they still worked for me.

No the code is still good. The codes don't expire until the program is officially ended. As of right now it is Feb 09 sometime. May get extended again
