personally, I was absolutely ok with dropping $56 on the 4K UHD of an old fave of mine, but more power to those who can't.

I'm just not interested in spending an extra $30 on a cd and extra cardboard.

This, and you won't be one of the inevitable "when's the standard version coming out?!?" posts 1-2 years from now.

I ordered it last night but PayPal bungled my Pay-In-4 option and charged me the full $56 (incl. shipping), which stings a bit. Don’t know why they did that—at no point in my ordering process did I select anything other than “Pay In 4”. I’ve raised the issue with PayPal; we’ll see what happens.

Thanks for replying. Too bad, as the full version of LSD:INSIGHT OR INSANITY is even better. See here for the full 29-minute version:
https://collections.nlm.nih.gov/cata...-101557358-vid

But, that version is horribly encoded at only around 1 mbit/sec. All other copies online appear to be of the truncated 17-minute version. There was a release of "scare" films called "The Scare Films Archives, vol 1" on Blu-ray a couple of years back which includes the chopped up 17-minute version at a high bitrate (about 30 mbps) and 1080p:

Synapse will be releasing this widely on April 15th. I thought it would just be a Standard Edition but the listing still shows it as a Limited Edition with rigid case and CD soundtrack included.

Nice. I really didn't want to have to order this direct from Synapse. I love the work they do, but absolutely hate their limited edition model.

It's because they make these limited editions so bloody expensive that they take literally years to sell out.

Sorry it's not clear to me what the different versions by Synapse have. There is a news listing today on this site about a standard edition but still mentions a poster and the special packaging. Is it just a wrong spec description or otherwise, what is different between the LE and the SE?
On Synapse's own site there is no mention of a poster even though it's clearly the LE.
I googled and found this: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...crawler/media/ which indicates it's the Limited Edition and still available even on Diabolik, and Synapse's own site.
Can someone provide some details please?

$60 for a "standard" release, has to be a mix-up somewhere since it's listing pretty much the same contents as the LE.

47.99 on MoviesUnlimited, and near the end of February they'll have a 20% off coupon. 38.39 after.
