Really? Mine dispatched from Amazon UK yesterday, and should be here in the States by - Saturday? (Global Expedited.)

Amazon UK is all over the map with this. I pre-ordered with Global Priority shipping to the US but it is supposedly going to take 13 days to arrive (it shipped on the 4th). I looked into it and this is being sent by Australia Post Global from the UK. Why they’re not using DHL I’m not sure, but there doesn’t seem to be any advantage to paying the extra shipping cost if this is how they are going to send things.

Arrived today from Amazon UK. Looks really good (the product) but the packaging was filmsy. Never experienced that before from Amazon UK. Fortunately, everything was minty fresh inside. I typically keep my ToC discs in their boxes so off to the shelf it goes.

Huh. Mine arrived the same way, and thankfully there was no product damage.

What would be perfect is to swap out the steelbook with the Best Buy steelbook.

Received my copy today and while cool, I wish they made the outer case transparant so you could see The Thing inside

That said, it's possible to ditch the plastic badge holder and pin and replace it with another steelbook, which is what I'll do as I want the Arrow Video steelbook with original poster design in there instead.

Oh and funny sidenote, I just saw "The Thing" on the big screen, well parts of it at least in what I consider the worst horror film of the year, Halloween Ends, I found that coincidence to be funny as I discovered this package in the mail this morning
