This might be one reason for the US delay, as the US disc would have to be re-authored in 1080/30i or 1080p24.

It's definitely true 50i, preserving the interlaced video look. Mastering looks very sensible, no excessive DNR as some upscaled releases have had, and it seems free of PAL chroma noise. All in all, it's rather nice.

1080i60, one would hope, to retain the original look as near as possible for US customers.

What's the packaging like on this? Is it one of outer those rigid hard boxes or flimsy card like the Only fools & horses set?

Rigid and metallic printing.

Thanks I'll have to check that out. Big League of Gentlemen fan but I struggled to get into Inside No. 9 and only managed a few episodes of the first series.

It was nowhere near as good though. I can see what they were trying to do, updating the idea for tech where we've got 24/7 streams and the like, but ultimately the drama just wasn't there.

They did a similar idea earlier in the show (The Devil of Christmas), and that was much better, perhaps because they were taking the historic stance in that case, even shooting on vintage cameras.

Yeah, a few minutes into it I suspected "ah, it's gonna be this" and then it more or less happened exactly as I imagined.

Arrived this morning just in time for some Halloween evening viewing.

Very nice set, I have to say. Heftier than I was expecting due to the annotated script book, which is a nice inclusion. The metalic finish on the outside looks very nice too. Feels like 101 have upped their game for this one.

They've not even taken any money yet. Might see if local HMV has a copy tomorrow and then cancel.

I moved from Amazon to HMV and they shipped and it’s on its way.

Amazon never updated my order to give me an expected delivery date. Was always we will let you know. Did they actually get any stock ? as see it’s taken off sale for everyone even British addresses and you only have Marketplace scalpers offering it for sale cashing in.
