Sounds like much of the film is about the situation outside of the gorge until something finally goes wrong and they have to see what's down there. Sounds like it might have some potential.
Another new movie locked in a pay to subscribe channel. I hope there's a day when all the channels join together for a flat subscription or a no fee with commercials option. As of now, I don't subscribe to any of them but the free with ads ones. |

I'm interested to hear what these monsters in the Gorge are like. They are probably smaller as there is a tree forest in the gorge.
I hear Cable TV is struggling to keep its remaining customers, offering new deals. But yeah, that is true as they could all be bundled together for a lower deal but still high price. |

I'll watch this eventually. Samsung was doing a free 3 month subscription on my smart TV menu but it expired... today. I'll wait for another one from Roku or Target, or TV again lol |

Equal parts romance, horror. This was an interesting watch, I really liked it, though. Shame it is stuck on Apple TV and likely will not see a 4K release. I joined a free trial just to watch this.
Also, Anya with the raven-haired Bob hairstyle... Yeah, me gusta mucho. |

I totally agree with both of these posts. Scott Derrickson did a nice job with this, the film runs just under 2 hours before end credits. I liked it quite a bit. Surprised it didn't get bumped to an R-rating, could have gone further with the Gorge stuff/violence since it was not going to theaters. This is one of the better streaming movies, and I wasn't really looking forward to it. I will add it was released on Valentine's Day for a reason, it is kind of a date movie in a way. |

I'd say it's one of the few times where a longer run time benefits it... And they did a really great job infusing all of it within the run time. Plenty of gorge plenty of character development

Enjoyed some of it. Wanted to love it, but despite a great concept, the execution & pacing is all over the place & the script is largely terrible.
The first 10 minutes could easily have been left on the cutting room floor, the leads have almost no chemistry & the 'romance' doesn't work at all, the ending feels tacked on* & there are plot holes you could fly a helicopter through. The dull, murky cinematography does it no favours either. On the plus side, the effects & creature designs are pretty good, the action's not bad & there are some decent needle drops in there. I'll give it that. ![]() * [Show spoiler] 5/10 |

Count me in the 4/5☆ club. Well done romantic-scifi- horror romp. It had a long but well done lead up with excellent special effects. It would be a big shame if this wasn't released on a 4k disc. Without giving anything away what a pretty unique idea that they actually pulled off. Sigourney Weaver was a really nice touch and nailed her role.

I subscribed to Apple TV for a month just for this movie and watched it last night. I really enjoyed it. I thought the long segment with no dialogue was done well. It was an interesting change-up when they pretty much switched genres halfway through. I thought the creatures were well-done, if a little POTC-like. I will be watching it again (along with season 2 of The Silo) before I cancel that subscription. I hope it gets a 4k release, or at least blu-ray. If neither of those, then maybe they will release a digital copy to own on Fandango. That's what they did with the Tomorrow War, which was originally released on Prime if I recall correctly.

This was much better than expected and should have gotten a theatrical release. Very creepy creature concepts.
