Just saw it. I’m a fan. I’m 100% sure a bunch of people will hate it too for various reasons but I thought it was a fascinating take to end the storyline (such as it is in this iteration anyway).

I just got home from watching it. As I walked into the theater, a group of friends were walking out, making it VERY clear how much they hated it.

Honestly, I liked it. I didn't think it was bad at all. It was definitely flawed, but I got what Green and company were going for and it worked. I wouldn't rank it in my top five at all, but I'd easily put it ahead of Resurrection, Curse, the Zombie films, Kills and 5.

Enjoyed 'Halloween' 2018 and felt it got the franchise back on track.

'Halloween Kills' was subpar and really didn't need to exist.

'Halloween Ends' some how swung for the fences and pretty much connects on every idea and concept DGG wanted to get across -- and the result is the best film of the franchise since Carpenter's original masterpiece.

This is the biggest and most shocking film surprise of 2022 for me. Don't care that it's getting critically divided. It really does come down to whether or not the ideas and pivots in this film work for you or not. On the bright side, there's no objectively stupid writing on display with this film like the whole "Evil dies tonight!" stuff that plagued 'Halloween Kills'.

This movie rules.

Hoping the deleted/extended scenes are of some substance.

Can't help but feeling this trilogy is ripe for fanedit potential given how divisive the latter two have been.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have my IMAX tickets for Friday and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I hope the deleted and extended scenes on the 4K UHD are part of an extended cut of the film and not separately as bonus features.

Worse than both 2018 and Kills then, and I actually liked those. They have no business in being mentioned in the same sentence as the Carpenter original(s) but they were pretty entertaining for what they wanted to be.

But a 4/10 for Ends doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that it's a good Halloween movie.

I really liked the movie, wouldn't say no to an extended cut like Kills got. I love Kills too and think the extended cut only makes it a better movie so bring on the same for Ends.
