Well, both Tri-Star (Sony) and Entertainment One (or eOne) produced the film, so I guess they divvied up the distribution rights, with Sony taking most territories, but eOne taking Canada and the UK. I think eOne does their own encoding, which is currently distributed by Universal, which is why you see different discs and encodes in the US, Canada and the UK.

This movie must be one of 2022 best films. Viola Davis and the rest of the cast, amazing. Very violent, but done with class.

And those 4K extras are almost always upscales, or so they tell me. Either way, it doesn't make that much of a difference.

My UK copy has been shipped from WBSHOP. Will compare both US and UK and keep the best one.

The US BD is Region-A locked but I don't touch BDs these days.

Given my long to watch queue, I really don't have the time and patience to watch extras these days unless I am super intrigued ex. David Lynch ones where his experimental surrealistic way of story telling confuses the heck out of me and requires more deep dive. Lost Highway to quote an example but these days we get more insights from YouTube.

I have been strictly 4K for a few good years and I only touch the BD to compare.

UK 4K is almost a direct port of US 4K disc.

UK 4K disc has DTS-HD MA 5.1 on top of Atmos.

Since the menu looks identical to the US edition, it seems like all the discs were authored by the same company, with different language specifications. The German, Italian and Spanish editions are coming with Sony's usual raft of European languages (Spain will get the same discs as Eastern Europe), so it's a bit strange that the authoring house did a particular UK encode with a lossless 2.0 track for eOne UK. Apparently, Australia got the same disc as Germany / Italy will get, but only got a Blu-ray and no 4K UHD.

My bad. Yeah, its 2.0. Read it as 5.1. I am yet to watch the discs as got a backlog but my policy is always rip the discs first and then watch later.

The UK and US 4K discs core specs are identical most likely a direct port.

The German, Italian and Spanish editions are coming with Sony's usual raft of European languages (Spain will get the same discs as Eastern Europe), so it's a bit strange that the authoring house did a particular UK encode with a lossless 2.0 track for eOne UK. Apparently, Australia got the same disc as Germany / Italy will get, but only got a Blu-ray and no 4K UHD.
