I might be misunderstanding the blurb. I thought it was saying that the 223 episode count includes the specials.

Robot Chicken calls a lot of Christmas episodes specials, but they're really just episodes that aired within the regular season. The exception being "Born Again Virgin Christmas Special."

I'm counting 220 episodes (11 seasons at 20 episodes each), 3 Star Wars specials, 3 DC specials, 1 Christmas special, 1 Walking Dead special, and 1 Archie special.

According to the press release, there will be 228 episodes included, which should be all 11 seasons and 8 half-hour specials with the exception of the Self-Discovery Special (the 2 standalone 11-minute Christmas specials will probably be there too (as extras via the S2 and 7 releases) and also a new featurette about the show's many guest stars.

You may however want to hold on to the releases of the Star Wars, DC, and Walking Dead specials since this will be a 24-disc set, chances are the last 2 will be dedicated to the 8 half-hour specials sans any previous extras.

With Adult Swim's older shows slowly getting complete sets, are there any chances of a release of Moral Orel? Or are there some kind of behind the scenes/legal shenanigans that might prevent this from happening? TIA, I'm out of the loop when it comes to this kind of thing.

The 20th anniversary of the show is coming up soon so I think there is a small chance of it getting a new Complete set in the US. The complete series was already released in Australia but due to poor US sales they never released past Season 1 / the first 5 episodes of Season 2 (Volume 1) over here. Other AS DVD releases have mixed new discs with previously released season discs so I could absolutely see them going that route with Moral Orel + there seems to be at least 1 annual Adult Swim complete release per year

Moral Orel is in my AS top 5 of anything they've ever done, so I'd love to finally own more than just the 1st volume.
