Are CDs obsolete?

Today I found a Portable CD Player at my parents' loft and unfortunately it doesn't work anymore, but it also reminded me that CDs aren't really used a lot these days as they once were.

Now, I can just use Bluetooth on my car's radio and listen to any song I want while with CDs it's the songs that are available. I could burn discs with the songs I want, it's just I don't want to do that (anymore).

It saddens me that CDs are on their way out.
