Worse? You mean better? There’s nowhere to go but up after DGG left (good riddance) unless Uwe Boll, Eli Roth or Daniel Ferrands come calling. It blows my mind that Universal not only paid $400 mil for a franchise that never lit up the box office after the original and most people forgot the TV series even exists, but handed DGG the keys to another horror franchise after the 2 dreadful H2018 sequels.

those are both mediocre films but nowhere near as offensively bad as Green's travesty's.... or Rob Zombie's crapfests as well....

Please, tell me how Jamie Lloyd making Michael Myers cry after being called Uncle is better than Ends. Love to hear you attempt to explain that.

Exorcist II: The Heretic is the best Exorcist sequel. Nowhere near as good as the original, but none of the sequels/prequels are.

Leslie Odom is likely out too and that’s a big loss IMO too.

But I know I’m in the minority here. I’ll be hanging out with Corey tonight to clear my head.

“Horror fans are ungrateful. They chased out DGG. Just burn it all down.”

God, I love Halloween Ends. Sucks to see DGG go and leave the Exorcist trilogy but I'm not surprised. Also sucks that they're probably going to really change the direction of the story. Damn...

At least we will always have the Green Halloween trilogy.

I already can't wait to rewatch the new trilogy again.

On a somewhat off topic. My wife was watching a Hallmark movie around Christmas time, and Corey was in it. I kept looking over and saying "God he looks familiar".

No, I mean worse... and yes I'm familiar w/ the phrase you can only go up from here. But, not in this case.

I haven't watched "Ends" yet but I didn't hate "Kills" as much as everyone else. As far as Halloween sequels go 5 and Resurrection are the worst of the worst.

An interesting change in style and story, but good that it let the audience see Regan's progress later in her life. As far as being scary, I felt it was missing the style of the original film. The challenge with these films, is how many times can a person get possessed, be surrounded by religious exorcists, and then have the demon removed? The formula could use some new ideas, so that is at least something part 2 Heretic tried to do.

honestly Keith Thomas’ Firestarter wasn’t as bad as everyone says it is, The Vigil was pretty strong too so if he gets to cook I wouldn’t be opposed to this. My thing is Morgan Creek better understand they need to give a LOT of creative control over if they want a name on board after how Believer went down.

I like DGG and love Halloween Ends too but Believer was raw dookie. I can’t say I’ll be terribly fussed to see him go on this one but I would rather he be replaced by nobody and we just don’t have a followup to this lol

I'm stoked to rewatch them Halloween 2024.

Also you can blame us Canadians for that. Loads of lame Hallmark Christmas stuff is filmed here.

I liked the Firestarter remake. Vigil was fantastic and highly underrated.
It would be interesting to see what he could do with a Exorcist film if he were to apply his background and religion to the mix.
