Mine just arrived. In a box with bubble protectors. Dented all to shit, and now it's sold out. The entire back of the steel looks like it's been stepped on.

Mine said it was to arrive on Tuesday (release date) and now is delayed until Friday…

More great shipping from Best Buy. Hopefully it doesn’t come all F’D up.

Mine arrived mint in a box with air pillows. Never saw the film so it was a blind buy but I'm really liking the artwork in person, almost gives off a glowing iridescent feel.

They might? Gunn said Superman will be the first DCU movie, but Blue Beetle is the first character. So whatever that means.

He clarified that. He said Blue Beetle and this actor will carry over to the DCU but this film wont be canon

It’s sold out.

If you didn’t preorder it, it was very hard to find. I don’t recall if stores even got it in. It’s restocked a couple of times but sold out fairly quickly both times.

must have been a very limited count as there have been sold out releases before but the after market price was not this high.

Someone actually bought one on ebay for $105...smh

Wow!

Yeah, thin and Sleepy were 2 of the harder ones to get recently. I’d say this was harder because it was only available at BB.

Yeah I resorted to buying the WM regular blu-ray Steelbook and am goign to just, down the road, buy the 4K and put it in there.

A real bummer to do that, but I will because (bland villain aside) I did thoroughly enjoy the movie.

My honest review...I could see where & why this was originally conceived as a HBO Max original, and that's not a negative imo. The story is tight for what they're doing, and I believe I can see where they put the extra budget they got when it was deemed "good enough" to go the theatrical route.

The stuff that is "sub-par", in my view, is the villain. Susan Sarandon is obviously a gifted actress, but she definitely chews scenery here and I'm just not sure if it's her, the scripting of her character, or a combo of both (I hedge on "combo of both"). BUT...it's not enough to tank the movie.

The whole family works well in THIS story and with THIS character. They don't feel shoe-horned in to try and earn extra laughs or whatever. I don't know how to describe it other than it works.

I happily paid the price of admission to see it in IMAX and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was overall pretty beautifully shot as well.

Out of the recent steelbooks, this one is definitely one of the more "rare" or "limited" ones both in terms of access and (likely) production quantity. Not only was it a Best Buy exclusive, but this one was never available at BB stores. It was online only. The only way to get it was prior to release day or very early on the morning of release day. On top of that, given the lower box office numbers, it appears WB had a relatively small production run as they likely didn't expect much interest/demand.

In retrospect, I am grateful to have been able to get a pre-order in for this one. It was a blind buy and although I still haven't gotten around to seeing the film yet, I hear good things about it.

As for the steelbook, I hope those who want one are able to get it for a reasonable price. It might still pop back up on BB's site for sale. You never know these days.

That's wild! That is definitely a steep asking price... especially for such a recent release...

Me too! I somehow still haven't gotten around to watching it! haha

It looks like fun based on the trailers.

IMO the WM looks better as the logo matches the Flash one.
