Guess I'll wait for release and see what people say. It's one of my dads favorite shows, he remembers a lot from the show so I don't want him to feel crazy when he remembers it one way and it never happens while rewatching.

Not even syndication as those versions would be cut for time

You are right. However, I have the syndication off-air recordings and funnily enough all the scenes cut from the home video versions are included in the syndication cuts (bar one I think). That's how I made my uncut fan edits.

I remember some of it from syndication in the 70s. Yes, it's a very funny show.

Two things though:

1. $80 for a 50 year-old show?

2. Commentaries? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all the major players deceased...?
Are they commentaries from some television critic?
On disc one, there's audio commentary by Garry Marshall and Jerry Belson, as well as another separate commentary track by Carole Shelly, for The Laundry Orgy.

On disc two, Jack provides audio commentary for It's All Over Now, Baby Bird - he's fantastic.

2-Yes-they are all gone(Unfortunately). It would have been great to hear them talking about episodes-sigh.
Klugman has commentary as well as Garry Marshall:

Anyone get it?
I preordered this, it says it will arrive today but it hasn’t shipped and now on Amazon it says temporarily out of stock.

It now says it’s in stock and will deliver by Friday. My order status hasn’t changed but Amazon has charged my card.

I pre-ordered at Bull Moose (there's a brick-and-mortar in my city) and it didn't come in...

Oscar, Oscar, Oscar...

I ordered a copy from Amazon when I found out my Bull Moose copy wasn't in, but Amazon's status for the title is "temporarily sold out".

There is more:

A nice feature with all the episodes, as well as with all the bonuses, is Garry Marshall's audio introductions. He's a pistol, and still funny as ever -- a very welcome addition here. On disc one, there's audio commentary by Garry Marshall and Jerry Belson, as well as another separate commentary track by Carole Shelly, for The Laundry Orgy. Tony Randall appears on The Mike Douglas Show, to plug the show (if you want to feel old, watch Mike, Tony and Pat Boone -- who look like your fathers used to look -- do thirty pushups like they were nothing. Who says smoking and drinking back then was bad for you?
On disc two, Jack provides audio commentary for It's All Over Now, Baby Bird - he's fantastic. Tony and Jack appear on The Mike Douglas Show to promote the show. As well, there's a series promo for It's All Over Now, Baby Bird. On disc three, there's an audio commentary by Garry Marshall for They Use Horseradish, Don't They?, and there's a fun collection of clips for Jack's book tour, touting his book Tony and Me. On disc four, Oscar's New Life is available with the option of discarding the laugh track (which never bothers me here). As well, there's a gag reel, a snippet of Jack and Tony doing a live benefit performance of The Odd Couple play, Jack accepting his 1971 Emmy, and his commentary after watching the clip after over thirty years. It's an amazing set of extras for this series, and hopefully, the other seasons of The Odd Couple will be just as full of goodies like these.

Now that this is released, I can't wait to hear if the music issues and cuts have been restored. I'm not counting on it, but it would be an immediate purchase if they were.

I find it interesting that what is currently streaming on Prime in HD is missing so many episodes (including the very first episode). I assumed it was due to licensing issues, but why not just put up the versions with cuts and music replacements to at least complete the series on streaming. Unless they are missing purposely because behind the scenes, they were restoring those episodes and didn't want them available to take away from this release. I know far-fetched and extremely unlikely. Especially given that they would have advertised the release as being fully restored, if that was the case.

I'll likely be sticking with my combination of hacked HD episodes from streaming and SD episodes from the DVDs.

For those who want such info, Amazon is sending my copy UPS and it'll arrive Friday. The price has gone up since I ordered, though - 79.99

If the episodes were fully restored I'd be in. Its classic comedy and deserves to be seen in its original format.

Looks like you can be the first to let everyone know if the cuts/music substitutions have been fixed for this release.

I actually do remember seeing some episodes that happened to be on streaming that were uncut on there but were edited on the DVD

I forgot which episodes they specifically were but they were episodes beyond the first season, the easy way to know are the runtimes of the episodes, I have access to a lot of the DVD runtimes and if anyone wants to compare them to the BD runtimes just let me know and I'll share them here

Or just check the final episode and see if the scene of Oscar dancing and singing "Singin' in the Rain" is still there right before the epilogue.

Or check the ending of "Strike Up the Band or Else" and see if it abruptly cuts off just as the cowboy picks up the microphone or does it have him singing.

Cheers episodes streaming had extra music restorations and all not on DVD.

The Blus had no restorations and further cuts.
