I picked up the 3-movie bundle for cheap on iTunes. After watching them, I'd only be interested in buying the first on UHD.

This is going to look so nice next to my Arrow Ringu trilogy.

The artwork is pretty badass IMO, but like others, I’ll probably hold off until a standalone release gets announced.

Holy crap! This just made my day! This was my most anticipated 4k (not necessarily the mediocre sequels but whatever). Hopefully it has Dolby Atmos!

The Ring is one of the first horror movies I ever saw. I was barely 9 years old when my mom let me watch it while we were on vacation, since it was PG-13. I’ll never forget how terrified I was. I’ll definitely pick this up since it should make a nice companion to the Japanese set from Arrow (I still need to watch those films), and while I haven’t seen the sequels, I’ve heard nothing but bad things about them, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Paramount releases a standalone UHD steelbook of the first like with Halloween H20. No doubt Paramount required these films released in a set like with their three Halloween films.

I have to say I am a bit surprised. I always took you for much older.

I've only seen the original more than once but if memory serves me well this set includes:

- One of the super rare remakes that surpasses the original

- "I'm not your fking mommy."

- The first movie again but with zero style or talent in a desperate yet flaccid attempt at modernizing the lore in a post-VHS world resulting in a spiritual kindred to the Sadako 3D/Sadako 3D 2 films except this one's not even cringe-y, just boring

But I'm happy that I have to spend $90 to get one movie that I love and have been waiting for since I got a 4k player.

This is good...

It's what I wanted.

Man do I wish they were releasing the first film on its own, but now that we know The Ring is coming from Shout in 4K I wonder what the mystery title is in that upcoming Paramount 4K horror set? Many people, including myself, assumed it'd be The Ring so I wonder what it'll be now.

Sweeney Todd seems like a safe bet.

Great announcement. Wonder whether Rings (2005) will also be part of the set (maybe even also in 4K?).

This set contains The Ring (2002), The Ring Two, and Rings, on 4K UHD and Blu-ray.

The press release refers to Rings (2017). I referred to the short film Rings (2005) set in the Ring universe and published on home video prior to the release of The Ring Two.

I love the first film and remember liking the second well enough for Naomi Watts. I have never seen the third one. The best thing about these Shout/Scream sets is each film gets its own case so you can toss the turds in a closet or drawer and forget about them.

I think I'll wait for stand-alone releases on this one.

Meanwhile, I'm left wondering when the hell Arrow is gonna bring the Ju-On Collection stateside?

I’m pretty sure Ju-On distribution rights are with LionsGate in the US, so that’s an uphill battle. That collection was my final push region free.
