Retro Gold 63 is the pinnacle of cheap garbage rip-off labels from Germany. You can be 100% sure that this will be a Full HD (AI) upscale and will look like shit. This label, more or less, exvlusively pukes out overprized upscales in crappy quality on BD. Now they try the UHD market because there is even more money to be made without investing anything. You have been warned ![]() |

Lionheart is great, one of my favorite Van Damme scripts, I think this/Kickboxer/Death Warrant was him on the cusp of blowing up. But there's no way this movie is better than Hard Target, his absolute most polished film, best action, best acting, best direction, it has it all. Double Impact is also a personal favorite of mine and think that's his best film performance playing the dual roles. Universal Soldier I never cared for much, it's not as memorable as Stargate but it's well made. I think Timecop was the peak of his career, not the best film but the box office apex, and it immediately slide downhill after that. Street Fighter was the first of many blunders that underperformed. By the time he did the two Tsui Hark films I think he was considered box office poison and that was barely 3 years later. Then the final nail in his film career then was Replicant premiering on basic cable despite being an almost 20 million dollar film that bankrupted the production company. I don't think all of this was on Van Damme, movie tastes were changing and the action star was phasing out, even Arnold didn't have good films in these years, I still think he mostly gave memorable performances even in his bad movies.
