Hopefully Universal doesnt pull an Eddie Haskell, and start region locking with this series.

So how many of you are Gen X who discovered the show during reruns on Nick At Nite?

I could be wrong but I don’t think Leave it to Beaver were shown in many foreign countries, possibly if any.

Nick at Nite? I don't remember them having it. TV Land did, though, at one point. I remember it being on TBS in the late 80s and early 90s.

Correct, but thats still no reason they should region lock now, since theyre previous tv releases were region free.

I was born in '72, but discovered the show when we got cable (very early 80s)...as it was airing a lot in the afternoons. It might have been 'WTBS' but cannot recall for sure the network.

I was born in 1969 and we got reruns ever since I can remember on Chicago tv like WGN or WFLD . Love this show from a little kid . I have not watched it in over 40 years so not sure how it would be now , But can't wait to try it out .

I was born in '75 and it was always playing in afternoons when I was a kid after getting home from school. I recall it aired on WTBS or WGN, maybe even both channels.

WGN had crossed my mind as well, but I know they aired a lot of Cubs baseball games as the team played in the afternoon when at home. However, perhaps they played the show when the team was on the road and/or in the off-season.

They must have gotten rid of it by the time I was conscious of what was on TV because I only remember the TBS reruns. Those lasted until around 1993 when they had pushed them to the early morning.

I also remember the TBS reruns. For what it's worth, Wikipedia's list of vintage shows broadcast on Nick and Nite doesn't include this one. It does mention Leave it to Beaver as a special "cross-promotional airing," which I am guessing may mean it was on TVLand.

Think it was WFLD the old channel 32 that later became FOX , as well as WGN .

We also had channel 44 that was the best channel ever , Ultraman , speed racer , godzilla movies , cartoons , stooges etc..even NASL soccer and Blackhawks hockey (which was barely ever televised ) then it became Spanish and never seen any of those old japan tv shows like space giants ever again .

We didn't have cable , TBS , WOR (think that was NY), USA network played all the rare movies and tv shows . I used to clip out the movies listings from the tv guides in the 70s . I still have them

This is one of the older shows that I haven't seen a million times over, and I've been really enjoying it on MeTV. I think I must have 40-50 episodes on my DVR just waiting for life to slow down a little bit.

I'm looking forward to grabbing this!

The first year or so looked fairly rough on the Shout! DVDs, but it got better. Hopefully Universal won't go too far in removing the ravages of time.

Why are the covers in color when this was a black & white tv series?

Late 40's, but I don't think I started watching it until around 5-6 years ago, mornings on METV.

I’m probably going to get this for Christmas. I hope this goes down at least 20-30 dollars by that time.
