I used to stream everything, and while I could appreciate people who owned physical media, I didn't really feel the appeal - I enjoy collecting it now, but that's not what drew me in.
What got me started was, after building myself a nice entertainment room (this was a fun project, I learned how to build an outside structure!), learning that physical media just had higher quality than what you get on streaming (it was just something I had never researched before - makes sense because of compression, but still surprised me). Now that I've watched the difference, I can't go back. And now, I'm almost at 100 movies, and have a new hobby. And also, I have more excuses to do woodworking, since I'll contantly need new shelves. |
