Anybody else having an issue with the commentary track being low in the mix, drowned out by the music soundtrack as the film plays? It's okay during dialogue moments but the music is just too loud. No subtitles for the commentary to help out, either.

Anyone have an extra open copy of this? Really want that 4k disc but didn't realize how quick this would sell out

Im sure they will do a standard edition soon. They for most of their releases.

Yes, after watching the film I listened to the first 10 minutes of the commentary and found it very hard to make what out what Denis was saying.

I just received the standard edition direct from 101 Films -- horrible packaging but it arrived safe UK -> USA. Looks like this isn't listed on Amazon yet.

If you are considering this if you became a fan of DV after seeing anything Prisoners onwards, be cautious, this is nothing like that.

I'm not sure he'll make something as sobering as this again, this is what separates him from Nolan for, me Nolan would have never had the balls to make this film, far too establishment.

DV is a better filmmaker period.

Very Hard hitting serious, truly bleak but a brilliant film, the packaging is not great but is quite an upgrade on the Blu-ray.

They're two different filmmakers. Nolan made Following, Memento, The Prestige, and Insomnia before breaking big. Nolan absolutely had the balls to make those movies.. There aren't many bigger balls than to make something like Memento and he's still doing that to this day. That's why he's what he is today. I get so tired of people trying to pit these two against each other. Nolan chose to make what he wanted to make years before Denis and Denis chose what he wanted to make. They are both great filmmakers. Just leave it at that.

Did they ever fix the issue with the low volume commentary track? Strange that got through QC unless it's an isolated equipment issue for some of us.

I notice on 101’s site this says ‘sold out’ for the standard edition too. Is that also a limited run or would we expect this to be temporary?

(I know its still in stock in other places like HMV, but I haven’t the budget for it this month)
