Hell, Jon Bernthal, the actor behind MCU’s Punisher said as much. He literally said he’d only come back if they took the gloves off and let Punisher be R-rated, too, which it thankfully looks like he and Disney are making good on that commitment judging by the Born Again set photos (he’s literally covered in blood). I could see DareDevil being dialed-back (even if an R/TV-MA would better suit him), but not if Punisher’s involved.

Deadpool, thankfully he's got the fighting acrobatics, gunskills and martial arts to balance out his constant joking which only hits the target once in awhile IMO compared to his talented fighting skills. Comedy is an acquired taste though, and not all comedians will make everyone laugh. Depends on the style, jokes, etc. I did laugh at the car fight scene. That was funny.

On the topic of Punisher as a potential Avenger as mentioned earlier, (not in the film) his punishment against the villains shouldn't be held back by PG and should be R as others suggested. The series is brutal from the brief clips I saw of it. I couldn't get into that show yet.

Jon Bernathal, who looks a little like Robert De Niro and Trent Reznor (NIN), he's a good actor but they need to give him a better haircut than what was in the series later on I think, with the sides shaved and only hair on top IMO. Not a big deal but go with the last style as the better choice.

I'd like to see The Punished more unrestrained in the violence, going back to classic action era flicks, but Hollywood seems to ironically treat rated R as a ticket to put censored sex scenes into films, as well as trying to use a barrage of "F bombs" to pad the dialogue.

PG13 limits the graphic violence, but it also limits the schlocky sex scenes and profanity, so I'm torn.
